Use Relevant And Catchy Titles For Your Article Marketing

Before submitting your article for approval on your favorite directories, make sure to use relevant and catchy titles, as titles are the first thing people read when perusing articles. In fact, if your articles comes up only as a link, your only chance of someone clicking on your article is if you make an article that brags there attention.

When you are thinking about what to make your article, make sure that it is relevant - do not make up some catchy, but irrelevant, hyperbole for your title. Yes, people may click it, but they will soon move onto a different page after reading of how irrelevant your article body is from its title. Instead, for example, if you are making an article about selling photographs of little league baseball players to their parents, have something like, "Capturing Little League Baseball Players' Dreams - Shooting Them In Action". With that title, you have explained to the reader exacting the subject about which you will talk. In addition, it appeals to the emotions by mentioning their dreams - a title like this will garner more people to click on the link to go to your website than if you made some bland title.

Now for some don'ts. Do not have a title which is not professional: Keep it clean, for everyone to read, and try to make it sound like a professional wrote it - not vernacular coming from a high school student. Capitalize your words (some common words, such as "and" and "a", may be lowercase), and stay away from quotations and hyperlinks - you can use them in your article's body! Don't write such a short title that no one will know about what the article is talking - try to make it long enough that the person will have an excellent idea what the subject is.

Try to include the more broad topic in the title. If it will discuss article marketing, make it, "Article Marketing - (rest of title" or "(specific subject) - Article Marketing". That way, the search engines will read the article marketing portion and then you will gain more people clicking on your link when they search for your subject and the broader topic. It also helps to take out ambiguity of what the topic is if the reader knows if the article will be about SEO, web development, or social media. Use keywords discussing the more specific subject! Do not overflow the title with keywords, but use a couple, and then use when early in your article.

The last thing I want to mention is after you have a really good title, but before you hit submit, go to a search engine and search for the title you chose. If there are too many, or any, articles with the same title, choose a new one. You do not want a title that already has an owner - you want a unique title if at all possible. That way when someone searches with keywords in your title, they only see yours. And then they will only click on yours!
