Where do we go from here?
It is now 6 weeks since MH 370 disappeared on its way from Kwala Lumpur to Beijing at 1.20am Malaysian Standard Time, March 8th.
As yet no single piece of any of the aircraft has been found.
All the relatives and friends of the passengers and crew aboard MH 370 are still waiting in limbo for one piece of concrete evidence as to what happened. Clearly after all this time they are not being put into the whole picture. Some of them still cling to the belief that the plane and all the passengers and crew are safe and sound having landed successfully in some remote part of the world.
If that is indeed the case the question clearly is where? Pakistan, China and Russia have been mentioned as possibilities. There are two factors which somewhat stretch the imagination:
- Can you hide such a big plane and its passengers and crew for so long without somebody or for example a surveillance satellite finding out.
- In order to keep the passengers and crew alive the following items would for example be needed on a daily basis: 80 loaves of bread, 100 pints of milk, 10 lbs of butter, 120 lbs of meat or chicken, 100 lbs of rice etc. Someone buying that lot in a supermarket on a daily basis might attract some attention!!
So the area of concentrated search is now in the South Indian ocean some 1,300 miles west of Perth, Western Australia. A lot of resources have been put into this effort from many nations.
All this is based on the fact that reportedly there is concrete evidence that MH 370 turned West after it cleared Malaysia, flew back over Malaysia. flew around Indonesia and then south to the South Indian ocean. All the news media refer to this concrete evidence without anyone confirming its source.
Despite all this effort not a single scrap of any of the plane or its contents been found.
So, is the concentrated search in the right place?
Just suppose MH 370 had suffered a catastrophic fire just after it cleared Malaysia and flew on either under controlled or uncontrolled power, then the search area would in fact be the South China Sea.
What is very hard to believe is that with all the modern surveillance equipment available to day absolutely no trace of MH 370 can be found. I believe through satellite technology people can be identified walking down the street.
Yet still there is no trace...
The Aliens took them. Or maybe they are safe somewhere. The facts will come out.....eventually! Great article, David.
