The innovativeMountain Buggy Duet 2011 is the smallest side by side stroller on the market at just 63 centimetres wide and has no problem navigating through standard door openings. The sleek lightweight aluminium frame however doesn’t mean that the seats have been made smaller.
Ideal for both twin babies and siblings of different ages the Mountain Buggy can be arranged in a number of ways. The new born infants can be transported in either bassinets or car seats that fit securely to the Mountain Buggy chassis. When the twins reach the age of six months the Mountain Buggy can be quickly and easily transformed to accommodate twin seats. The chassis will also incorporate a seat with a bassinet or car seat to accommodate different aged babies.
The seats that can each hold a maximum of 40lbs each are designed to occupy a number of reclining positions that range from lie back to sitting upright. These positions can be accomplished with the twist and slide gadget that is easy to operate. The comfortable five point harness will restrain the infant safely and for added safety there is a padded bar that is removable. The stroller also sports a convenient cup holder that can keep the infants cups secure.
The Mountain Buggy is equipped with four large wheels that are perfect for navigating through snow, sandy beaches or nature trails. The parents are given the option of having the front wheels in a locked or pivoting position. When in the swivelling position the stroller is much more manageable around built up areas whilst the fixed wheel option should be selected for strolls along even pathways with plenty of open space. To maintain the maximum comfort of the parent the push bar can be adjusted without fuss to suit the individual’s height. Stopping the Mountain Buggy and holding it in place can be achieved with rear foot brake. A large shopping tray is located beneath the infant’s seat.
The included sun canopies, which have a flick out mesh sun shade, will protect the infants from the harmful sun. A complete mosquito net can be bought separately that will not only keep out the bugs but will provide 81% UV filtration. The parent can easily reach the infants using the zipped opening. Parents can also purchase a rain cover that will shield both infants from the wind and rain it too has a zipped access panel. The Mountain Buggy folds away quickly and easily and can be stored in an upright position that is not only neater but removes the trip hazard from the home.
