If you are a sneakerhead you are well aware of the Nike Zoom Kobe signature sneaker lines. These lines include not only numerous colorways, but also some of the most amazing themed kicks that the basketball shoe world has seen. There have been more colorways and themes to go along with them on the Kobe IV's, V's, and VI's, than there are fathers awaiting DNA tests on a Jerry Springer show. In other words, way too many too list here.
The last month alone we have seen the "Think Pink", "Lower Merion Aces PE" , the "Dark Knight", and a new colorway of the "3D" Kobe VI editions. As we near the end of the Kobe VI run of colorways, one of several classic Laker colorways is on it's way. The new Nike Zoom Kobe VI will use white as it's primary hue and will be on the scaled upper and outsole. The midsole, tongue, and heel cup will feature Laker purple. If it's a classic Laker colorway then yellow must be included. And it is. On the Swoosh, tongue, and the killer Kobe logos. The speckled laces are back, this time in purple with yellow accents. Laker fans rejoice, this one is definitely for you.
Although this may be one of the last Nike Zoom Kobe VI colorways to release in the classic Laker colorways, there are several other purple and yellow colored upcoming releases that will satisfy Laker fans. The first will be an away version of this newest version we see. The snakeskin textured upper features what Nike is calling "Imperial Purple". One of Nike's versions of yellow they call Del Sol is used on the Swoosh outsole, and the Kobe logo. It is also features the yellow, or Del Sol, speckling on the purple laces.
The next upcoming release has been dubbed "Club Purple Gradient" and is one of the cooler drops that we will see in the future. The "Club Purple Gradient" features a Club Purple and Del Sol snakeskin textured upper. The Club purple blends from the outer sections on the uppers of both shoes into Del Sol on the inner sections of both shoes. White is used on the midsole, outsole, and as accents on the heel cup. Del Sol is also used on the Shozoku Kobe logo.
If you are a Laker fan, you have plenty of sick Kobe VI colorways to look forward to in the next couple of months. Considered by many as the best sneaker for basketball on the market, the Kobe VI is going to be dropped, and dropped more than once, in your beloved purple and yellow.
