Today was like any other day, I got up, got my daughter off to school, and went to the gym. I had every intentions on coming home and getting to work on my business, however that didn't happen. I got a phone call early in the day that my daughter was having a basketball game, and she really wanted me to come, so naturally my whole day got turned around.
Isn't that why we want to work from home in the first place, so that we could spend more time with our family. Other wise what's the point of working from home and then become a slave to your business? This is what could very well happen if you don't prioritize what is important. I don't know about you, but I like being able to be in control of my own work schedule, no one telling me I can't take the day off to go to my child's basketball game.
Have you ever been to a middle school girls basketball game? It is so intense, their all excited and ready to run up and down the court to try and make a basket. There is no form, no rhythm just pure excitement and intensity. There is a lot of noise from the side lines, with screaming mommies and daddies yelling "take the shoot".
I always have fun at my little one games, and just to see the look on her face is priceless. She gets so excited seeing me on the side lines yelling my head off a long with every other parent. why do you think they call it the wonder years? Because these are years that you can never get back, so rather you work from home or a brick and mortor try and take some time out for your kids.
Be apart of their lives, take them to the beach, take them to the movies, but by all means spend time with them if you can. I am so happy to have this opportunity to be a stay at home mom, and I wish the same for you. This is why I do what I do, help ordinary people like yourself to obtain that dream as well.
I fully understand what it means to want to spend time with your family but you can't, because your job that keeps you from doing that pays the bills. What can I say, if you can make it to your kid basketball game try real hard to do so. It is the best feeling in the world for both you and your children.
