Is Lebron James Better Than Michael Jordan?

The past couple of years we have heard sports analysts comparing Lebron James to Michael Jordan. This statement makes me so furious and I can't believe they would compare "King" James to the best player to ever step on the basketball court. Let's get real here, has still not even won-a NBA Championship yet! So how can you compare him to Jordan, who has won six NBA Championships.

The comparison is so uncanny it just doesn't make any sense. I will admit that Lebron James is a very talented basketball player and he almost has the complete package. Nonetheless, he has one flaw and it happens to-be a major one. So far in his career Lebron has been unable to close out the game, especially in the playoffs. Personally, I just don't understand it, how can someone who is so talented be unable to score in the clutch?

One thing I have noticed is for some reason Lebron loses focus as the end of the game nears. Last year in the NBA finals, every one in the world watched as Lebron quit. Why does it seem that when the game is on the line, he seems to-be somewhere else? I will tell you this, I know for a fact the great ones never had this problem. In fact, in order for you to-be considered as one of the best this should definitely not be an issue.

I never heard of Michael Jordan ever having a problem closing out the game. Of course, there have been times that Jordan was unable to hit the game-winning shot. However, we all know that did not happen very often. Lebron has become a choke-artist in the playoffs, as he is yet to display his talented abilities at the end of the game. Although, there is one attribute that Lebron does per-form better than Jordan.

James does play defense very well and he really puts forth the effort too. We have all seen him run half-way across the court to get back on defense to block a shot. It really is an amazing sight, the amount of athleticism he exhibits when he exerts himself. There have been many stories floating around the sports world about why Lebron quit in the playoffs last-year. My favorite is that someone threatened Lebron and his family and that's why he showed a lack of effort in his performance. This would be terrible if it were true, but I highly doubt that it was.

In conclusion, the fact is that until Lebron James is able to finish a game strong. He will never be better than Michael Jordan, who is probably the best player in NBA history. He also will never have-the-personality and ambition that Jordan demonstrated on the court. The next time you hear a sports analysts compare James to Jordan, just remember this article and share this information with them.

Jordan. That is all.

No way that Lebron is better than Michael. Lebron is crazy good and is one of the most gifted players athletically, but his skill is not there in comparison to MJ. Kobe is the the current most driven and skilled player in the NBA.

Lebron has skill, but he doesn't have Jordan's drive and will to win. I've never seen anyone who wanted to win and hated to lose as much as Jordan. This is not even close.

Yeah! Jordan was one of a kind and there is no way Lebron could even shine his shoes.

Jordan dominates lebron end of story. I don't understand why the media even highlights this issue

Because they have to draw up a controversy to spike up the ratings. Just like the news, they manipulate everything to gain exposure it's really pitiful!

It helps when your over 7 feet, Jordan was great at both ends. For me thats what made him so dominate

Yeah I agree with you that definitely helped Kareem a lot. It's also tough to judge b/c Kareem was before my time, even though they still have highlights. Your still not there in the moment, witnessing him play.

King James! what a joke. It should be choke james. Your right, until he can close a game in the finals he'll be anything but king. As for comparing james to jordan not even close. Jordan was the greatest. The only player since to even be considered with jordan would be Kobe.

Actually, many people believe Kareem Abdul Jabbar was better than Jordan. But I believe Jordan was the Greates ever, just so much talent and he was so good in the clutch!

Is it me, or does Lebron's head band move back another notch every year? It won't be long before it is on the back of his head!

Jordan is way better than James will ever be and it doesn't take a poll to figure that one out either. Cmon ESPN they are so cheezy sometimes and I grow tired of Skip and his antics. James like you said cannot finish the game and he chokes! Also like you stated in the article he gives up and quits, that is not a great basketball player, that's a loser!

I agree James couldn't shine Jordan's shoes and he couldn't even get that right, LOL! Jordan is the best ever and that's the end of discussion.

I think Lebron is a better power player but the clutch factor will always put Jordan on a higher level. He won several championships with a mediocre team and always found a way to hit shots when they counted....something that Lebron has failed to prove!

I agree with you 100% and James is a sellout! He still couldn't get it done even with the better talent and they will probably choke again this year too!

I wonder if he would play with the flu like Jordan did when he scored 63 in the playoffs...I highly doubt it!

Kyle, he's played sick before and has never been able to produce like Jordan did. The fact is he cannot hit the big shot when it matters most! I just can't figure out where he got the nickname "king" James, what's he king of? The choke-artists, LOL

He had a crazy dunk last night. Look up on Youtube Lebron's alley oop over John Lucas. Insane!

Michael hands down. Remember Michael was also great on defense. How many championships did he win vs Lebron. Plus Lebron left his fan base in Cleveland where he should of stayed. I also believe he gave up in those playoffs. That is why he will never be like Mike.

Yes, what I don't understand is how someone who is so competitive quit on the biggest stage in the NBA. He can't handle the pressure and gives up! Sell out and he deserves what he gets.

Yeah Kyle, I saw that dunk he was up there! He definitely has the skills, just needs to step up the emotional part of his game!

James is a big loser who quits when it matters most. I have never seen anything like it either and he doesn't deserve to win one championship, However I do like Dwade he is a good player.
