Lebron James Is Lebron James And Michael Jordan Is Michael Jordan

LeBron James came to the Miami Heat NBA Basketball Team with Chris Bosh and became the alleged villain for leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers. How can anyone fault LeBron James exercising his Right of freedom of choice to pick what is right for his family and his career?

Does it really matter if you watch Lebron James in a Cleveland Cav's uniform or a Miami Heat Uniform?

Now, since Scottie Pippin called "Lebron James the greatest basketball player ever, over Michael Jordan the 'scorer'." Can we really take this statement seriously? Can you remember back in the Utah Jazz Series when Pippin whispered to Karl Malone, "the mail doesn't get delivered on Sunday" and Karl Malone missed one of his most important foul shots several seconds later? This distraction by Scottie Pippin probably cost Karl Malone his Championship NBA ring.

LeBron James knows Michael Jordan is a Legend as well as other great NBA greats. The Miami Heat is focused on one thing...winning a NBA Championship Ring.

Michael Jordan had one major go to guy, Lebron James has two major go to guys.

We all have to notice a superstar doesn't normally win a NBA Championship Ring by themselves. If this were the case, Derrick Rose would not be eliminated so easily.

Some fans may say Lebron is better than Michael Jordan. I say they are both legends! A lot of NBA basketball players have to stay close to injury free to even have a shot of winning the NBA Championshiop Ring. If your superstar player is slightly injured or fatigued. Can a NBA team win it all anyway?

The NBA has changed drastically since Michael Jordan or Scottie Pippin played. We should not even try to compare the era of Bill Russell, Charles Barkley, Kareem Abdul Jabber, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, etc...

For one thing, we have more video reviews now, than when most of the greats played in the past. The video review challenges catch more physical action that other players got away with in the past.

Next, the officials have the new rules of the flagrant foul one call vs. the flagrant foul two call. The flagrant foul two call; destroyed the Los Angeles Lakers in their sudden demise this year.

Remember, the Detroit Pistons would beat the hell out of any opposing team who's player dared to drive down the middle. Would the Detroit Pistons have won all their championship rings with the new flagrant foul rules?

Did you see Andrew Bynum take off his shirt in the stadium after his ejection for the violation of a flagrant foul 2? The NBA fined Bynum for taking off his shirt on top of the ejection. Dennis Rodman got ejected many times while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and never got fined for taking off his shirt and throwing his jersey to a screaming fan. This shows how there are very different eras developing. It is harder to compare the greatest legends in basketball of all time, because the rules are not the same.

Here in 2011, we have to avoid comparing different athletes so easily. There are too many new variables consider.

Michael Jordan is great beyond measure. But, he had a great 3 point clutch shoter like Steve Kerr making game winning shots. Scottie Pippin physically holding players back, so Michael Jordan could make an easy jump shot or layup.

It is interesting to note that Scotty Pippin waited to after James, Wade & Bosh rocked the Bulls into a 4-1 defeat before making his comments.

It is also interesting to note coach Mike Brown was hired by Los Angeles Lakers to help stop Lebron James from beating LA Lakers next year.

The only problem, Mike Brown was hired too late to make a difference in distracting Lebron James in the Dallas Mavericks Championship Series this year.

The ring will decide who is the greatest player this year!

I agree what I see as a difference between the two is that Michael Jordan willed himself to win Lebron hasn't shown this to me. He is a great player but doesn't have the killer instinct most of the great players have....

Having watched both of them growing up and "idolizing" Michael Jordan, I still do believe it is a tough call who was the King (although LBJ has taken the King name). Jordan was clutch. Lebron is clutch. Jordan could shoot, Lebron can shoot. Jordan could jump, Lebron can soar as well. Both could drive, both could break teams down. So what makes them so different. Jordan WON championships without a stud packed team. Pippen like to declare himself as the 2nd best player in the league, but he was no better than a Richard Hamilton or Shawn Marion. Sure Kerr could shoot, but so can lots of players. Luc Longley and Cartwright leading the 5 position. Not much there. At this point, I personally would have to say Jordan. Unless Lebron can prove himself as a leader and start to win championships, then it really is not much of an argument. Lebron maybe be as good as if not better of an athlete, but an all round player goes to Jordan.
