The first round or the 'first four' as it is now called, takes place in Dayton, OH on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. This event is just the beginning of the wild and crazy tournament that causes hair loss and the occasional heartburn.

If you plan to be a part of the madness in 2013, you now know the locations of the first two rounds. Sixty nine teams are chosen to dress for the big dance where they win or go home. Just some thoughts of this old cowboy who once attended a Final Four event in Indianapolis in 2006. My Pac Ten team in the Bruins lost to Florida that year but I will forever have those madness memories to share.
