March Madness 2013: Tickets On Sale Now

Today marks a little known event in the college basketball world. It's the day that tickets for March Madness 2013 go on sale. Yes, folks if you are the proverbial early bird that gets the worm, then now is the time to get your NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament 2013 tickets.

You may be wondering where the madness will be breaking out and how to get tickets. Let's take a look at the locations for the first two rounds of college basketball at it's best.

The first round or the 'first four' as it is now called, takes place in Dayton, OH on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. This event is just the beginning of the wild and crazy tournament that causes hair loss and the occasional heartburn.

This leads to the second round and the madness will be in full swing in the following cities across the United States.

  • UD Arena in Dayton, OH
  • Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI
  • Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO
  • Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, UT
  • Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY
  • Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA
  • Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX
  • HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA

If you plan to be a part of the madness in 2013, you now know the locations of the first two rounds. Sixty nine teams are chosen to dress for the big dance where they win or go home. The two rounds are bitter-sweet. Bitter because there are fifty-three teams that pack their bags for an extended vacation til next season and sweeet for the sixteen teams left in the tournament.

The madness is in full swing with the sweet sixteen teams facing elimination. Four cities will host at the following venues.

  • Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
  • Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA
  • Cowboy's Stadium in Arlington, TX
  • Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN

The sweet sixteen becomes the elite eight as the madness becomes frenzy for those teams that remain. The elite teams of the country compete to be remembered forever as the Final Four in Atlanta, Georgia

The college basketball fanatics all over this country dream of the day when their beloved team endures the madness to compete in the final two games of March Madness 2013.

As the 2012-2013 NCAA Men's basketball season begins this year, be sure to stay tuned for more events that lead to the madness.

Just some thoughts of this old cowboy who once attended a Final Four event in Indianapolis in 2006. My Pac Ten team in the Bruins lost to Florida that year but I will forever have those madness memories to share.
