Need a few ball handling drills for basketball?

Well you are the kind of person I want to help. The fact that you're here shows that, you know what you want and you go and get it. This is a great trait to have especially when you're dealing with basketball and ball handling.

Fortunately, you don't have to search anymore because I know the best drills for average ball handlers that work very well!

I'm actually a basketball player that started out in your position, looking for ball handling drills that would turn me from an average to an advanced ball handler.

Matter of a fact I wanted to be better than an advanced ball handler, I wanted to be an elite ball handler! I'm the type person that's wants to be the best at everything I do and I won't settle for second place.

So I searched long and hard until I found some ball handling drills for basketball that were extremely effective and produced great results.

So I understand your situation and I want to assist you.

I have a quick question for you.

What kind of ball handler do you want to be?

I don't like to toot my own horn but I've received many compliments on my ball handling ability, and people have even asked me to show them how to dribble the basketball the way I do.

This is all because I found the best basketball drills to improve my handles and I performed these drills religiously.

Well here it is! The drills I used to improve my ball handling that you can start using as well.

1. Seated dribbling- In this drill I sit down in a chair and dribble the basketball low and fast with each hand. I start with 50 crossover dribbles as low and fast as I can and then I do 50 dribbles between my left leg and my right leg. Then I do 50 between the leg crossover dribbles. You do this by dribbling the ball between your legs and then doing a crossover dribble right after it. Do two sets of all three variations.

2. Eyes Closed dribbling- Dribble the basketball as hard as you can without losing control for 45 seconds with each hand for a set of three. The key is to control the ball without having to open your eyes to see it. If this is easy for you try using two basketballs.

3. Up Downs- This drill is done by dribbling the basketball as high as you can then going as low as you can then back to as high as you can for 45 seconds with each hand. Do three sets of this.

4. Crazy dribbles- This drill is done by performing as many different moves as you can with the basketball in 45 seconds. I like to do behind the back dribbles, crossover dribbles, spin moves, and I like to do different variations of those moves and other moves. Do two sets of this drill.

Warning: Don't neglect to use the ball handling drills above! These are very powerful ball handling drills that have been around for years and are still some of the best drills around.

Every great ball handler either has a great training program or a great coach that got them to the level they're at. Just look at the greats such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. They all have coaches and programs that were a crucial piece to their basketball success. It's very difficult to become a great ball handler with a few drills and no guidance, and this can lead to failure!

Find a program that works for you and stick with it. That was my road map to ball handling success and it can be yours too.
