The Hall Of Fame Jordan 6 Rings

In 2009 the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball was inducted into the basketball hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. Michael Jordan's induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame was a mere formality. How is the greatest of all time not going to get inducted? If there was a class valedictorian for the entire class inducted into the HOF, Michael would be that man. That night Michael Jordan cried before giving his speech. Then he proceeded to do what he did best on the basketball court. Entertain us. And nobody did that better than Michael.

This night he would entertain us with stories about player and coaches that he felt disrespected him and ultimately drove him to be the game's best ever. The high school coach who cut him, the player that he was cut for, Isiah Thomas, and even the media who said he could never win a NBA championship were subject to Michael's scorn during his speech. But, it was Byron Russell, an ex-Utah Jazz player that seemed to fire up Mr. JOrdan the most. Russell was the player that was guarding JOrdan when Michael hit the final shot to beat the Utah Jazz in the 6th game of the 1998 NBA Finals. There was a reson why Mike dissed Russell to the extent that he did.

Unbeknownst, to most basketball fans and players, Byron Russell approached Jordan who was retired and playing baseball at the time, and proclaimed that not only could he guard Michael, he could shut him down. Wow! Are you kidding me? Did he just say that? Michael Jordan, considered one ofthe most competitive professional athletes to ever play professional sports, had to be biting his tongue so hard that it bleed. Holding his tongue until he busted Russell in the eye to win his 6th NBA Chamionship.

On September 5th, 2009 the Air Jordan Brand, as a tribute, to Michael Jordan created a special Hall of Fame Jordan 6 Rings. The shoe was done in all black with a white outsole. The midsole was one of kind. It contained the legendary numbers Jordan put up during his career in white digital print on a black midsole. The fuzzy Jumpman logo on the tongue was made up of white, red, and yellow. Patent leather was used on the lower portion of the midsole. This shoe was a fitting tribute to the greatest basketball player ever.

In concluding his speech that night, Michael Jordan ended with this quote,"One day you might look up and see me playing a game at 50," he said. "Don't laugh." Believe me Michael, I am not laughing, I am hoping.....to see you return to the NBA hardwood.
