Everyone wants healthy hair and if you're like me you've been searching for that one product that will give you just that and more. For me, I've been testing out different products over the years and I'm happy to say that I did find that one product that I can sit here and brag about. Yes, it's organic coconut oil. You will learn that not only is it good for the hair, but it's also great for the skin.
What makes coconut oil for hair so special? For one, it's all natural with high amounts of medium chain fatty acids. These give coconut oil many anti properties including anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-viral properties. Lauric acid is the key ingredient which is a medium chain fatty acid. The only other place where lauric acid is found in such high amounts is in human breast milk!!
When applied to the hair regularly, it will help heal and strengthen the scalp, the hair follicles, and the strands of hair making your hair healthier, fuller, and shinier from the inside out. When I first found out about this amazing oil, I wanted to test it out on my dry scalp and dandruff problem. For the past six months, organic coconut oil has been part of my daily hair regime and I no longer have this problem. It's also abundant in Vitamin E which is also good for treating itchy scalp.
The main reason I started using coconut oil for my hair is because it keeps the ends from becoming dry and brittle, which then turns into breakage and split ends. Plus, my hair is curly so I always struggled with frizzy hair. This oil provides moisture to the hair and scalp helping it to grow healthy and strong. There are several different ways you can use it on your hair, but I'm going to tell you how I use it and how it's worked for me.
First, I wash my hair three times per week (every two days) and follow the same routine. I will massage a very small amount of organic coconut oil on my ends and leave in for a few minutes. I will then wash and condition my hair as usual. Once a month, I will do a deep conditioning by applying to my scalp and gently combing through my hair with a wide tooth comb. I will then wrap my hair in a warm towel for as long as I can, then wash it out. This routine seems to work great for me.
Although there are many ways to use coconut oil for hair, this way works best for me. I have heard of it being used as a hair gel on dry hair and a few other different uses. This way has worked for me and it helps keep my hair strong and healthy. Not only is it good for the hair and skin, but there are many health benefits of coconut oil too.
I love coconut oil and as a youngster spread in all over my body and laid in the sun. I am now paying to price for that decision. i think the idea of putting it in your hair is much better
