Trying to limit the amount of toxins you expose your body too?
Looking for a way to exfoliate your body and your skin without spending a fortune?
Not sure where to turn? Then try this quick tip for naturally glowing skin!
Try Baking Soda. Yes that’s right. What many of you may have sitting in your pantry is actually an excellent facial and body exfolient. Why not give it a try?
After washing your skin with warm water to take off any excess makeup, mix a small handful of baking soda into lukewarm water and apply to skin in small circular motions. The optimum consistency of the baking soda should feel gritty, yet not dry. Just a few drops of water would be ideal. It is normal to have a slight reddening of the skin immediately after this method of exfoliation, as it does an amazing job of improving circulation as well. Once you have exfoliated to your hearts content, wipe off gently with a warm face cloth and pat dry. Due to the fine grained grittiness it may take a few rinses to get it all off, but believe me, it's worth it!
Don’t forget to moisturize after this process, as you will have exposed delicate new skin cells which you want to care for to ensure glowing skin for years to come. Recommended moisturizers would be a dab of organic coconut oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil.
For those of you with drier skin, use a small amount of baking soda mixed with water and work your way up till you find your optimum amount. You may also mix a dab of honey in with the water, as the natural humectant properties will aid in sooting your skin as it undergoes the exfoliation process.
Lastly, remember to do this method over the sink with a towel at hand, as it is a rather messy process. However, as you will find, the results are well worth it.
If applying this method to the body, I would suggest premixing your baking soda and water into a bowl and using your concoction in the shower where it can easily was off. And, as with the face, moisturizing afterwards is key.
Always remember, if you take care of your skin, it will take care of you. Your skin is the largest organ of your body, so treat it with due care.
Don't spend fortunes on false claims - learn to assist your body naturally with natures way!!
