A honey mask should be a part of your beauty treatments at home. Honey is easy to find because many countries do bee farming. There are different types of honey products including acacia, orange blossom, Basswood and wildflower among others. Each type of honey boasts unique taste and healing herbs. Honey masks are regularly used to prettify the facial skin. They play a major role in exfoliating, moisturizing, nourishing and healing the skin cells. Homemade facial masks are cheap and natural alternatives that do not only enhance the appearance of your skin but also its health.
Before making any honey mask you need to do the following:
• Ascertain your skin type and look for ingredients that can be mixed with honey to enhance your looks. The three types of skin include dry, oily and normal. There are some people who have a combination skin type consisting of two or three of the usual types.
• Determine the level of sensitivity of your skin – Although oily and dry skin types are considered sensitive, this sensitivity comes in different levels. A few people cannot apply any new beauty product to their faces without a reaction.
• Wash your face and neck areas with fresh water before using honey treatments.
• Eat foods rich in the nutrients contained in your honey masks’ ingredients as well.
There are two different skin exfoliation masks described below based on all skin types and the oily skin type.
All kinds of skin – The most basic style is made using organic honey only. It is advisable to ensure that the organic honey type that you want to buy is approved. This requires to be liquefied before use. Put the amount you want to use in a tiny beaker or bowl and immerse it in hot water. Allow it to absorb heat until it melts. Make sure that the honey is warm prior to applying it on the face with a spatula. Wait for fifteen to twenty minutes to wash your face. Another kind of honey mask that can be made at home includes honey with many other ingredients. These include eggs, apples, orange juice, oatmeal, cucumber, milk, bananas, Aloe Vera, avocados, carrots, cream cheese, melons, and pawpaw among others. These ingredients tend to be very safe if applied topically to any skin.
Oily skin type – This one is difficult to maintain because of the highly active sebum secreting cells. It is usually acne prone and partly or wholly covered by spots. A simple honey mask for this kind of skin can be made using one teaspoon of sage (it has antibiotic and antifungal characteristics), one apple fruit, and two tablespoons of organic honey. Slice the apple as is and puree it with a food processor. Add honey and sage to the crushed apple and blend well until the paste is even and soft. Allow it some twenty minutes of cooling down and apply the paste gently with the fingertips to your clean face and neck.
There are lots of hypotesis about CCD. However i consider that pollution is the number one enemy of bees.
Hi Balas I just took a look at your website, really interesting and very unusual. Out of interest, what's your opinion on the disappearing honeybees, do you think it's due to pollution.
Interesting! Sage has antibiotic and antifungal impact. Honey and sage in a honey mask - or so many other things too. Good article explaining the ingredients of beauty treatments for the face as a mask.
