Women all over the world are eagerly anticipating the release of the new Urban Decay NAKED 2 eyeshadow palette. Well, eagerly may be an understatement. If the rumor is true (which I think it is seeing as Urban Decay just posted a "peek-a-boo" shot of it on their Facebook page today) then I can tell you right now that its release just may see a "Black Friday pepper-spray showdown" all over again.
WHY?
Because Urban Decay NAKED is basically the MOST coveted eyeshadow palette within the crazy and obsessive world of beauty and cosmetics that us girls live in!!!! And to think that there's a NEW and improved Naked 2 to be released in retail stores such as Sephora is beyond exciting!!!
But here's my biggest question. As a HUGE fan and very proud owner of the original, I want to know, will the new Urban Decay Naked 2 colors be worth the (ahem..., pricey) purchase?
And let me assure you, I am not alone in this question...
In fact, there's tons of talk and a zillion online discussions surrounding the new Urban Decay Naked 2 colors, and not all of it is super positive and optimistic as I kinda presumed it would be.
Surprisingly enough it seems many makeup junkies out there are a little disappointed with the new 2's choice of colors... Keep reading!
What's so NEW?
The Palette:
Well this better be different than the 1st one right!?!? I mean what's the point?? Ok so it includes Half Baked, but maybe because everyone is obsessed with this color from the NAKED 1, so they though why not include it again. But still, seems there could have been more matte colors rather than emphasizing shimmers again. Word on the street is that the list of the new colors for the Urban Decay Naked 2 is as follows:
- Foxy
- Half Baked
- Bootycall
- Chopper
- Tease
- Snakebite
- Suspect
- Pistol
- Verve
- YDK
- Busted
- Blackout
The Packaging:
Unlike the original that comes in a brown velvet casing with the Good Karma eyeshadow brush, the new Urban Decay Naked 2 packaging seems to be encased as a silver metal case with a larger mirror (there's a plus) and a new dual-ended eyeshadow brush (another plus). I'm worried the case might scratch and not close properly... you know how sometimes metal cases lose their ability to really snap shut tightly?
The Price:
Right now it is obviously not confirmed, but the new Urban Decay Naked 2 colors are rumored to be sold anywhere from $46-$55 USD. Sure it's a big purchase, some might say "it's just makeup", but if that's your attitude then I don't know how you got to read to the end of this;)
