Three Examples Of A Face Mask With Honey

How do you make use of honey at home? Many people eat it to gather its herbal benefits. Women are in particular known to make a face mask with honey using various ingredients. Many manufactured products are processed with chemical substances. Even if they contain natural ingredients such as essential oils, avocado, honey, royal jelly and many others, their organic states are usually tampered with. This is why homemade masks are better as they are often in their harvested state. Unless one’s skin is allergic to honey, it can be a good addition to a daily skin-care routine.

Masks that can be made with this substance are many and different. Some of the types that are easy to make at home include the following:

1. A face mask with honey, orange, organic yogurt or mandarin juice

• What you can gain – The mask contains Vitamin A and Vitamin C that add antioxidants to the skin. The yogurt makes your skin more elastic and stronger. The honey adds a ton of nutrients to your skin cells.

• Instructions - Mix one tablespoon of honey with equal amounts of yogurt and mandarin juice. Apply for about twenty minutes. Wash with cool water. This mask can be used at least twice every week. If your face is very oily, you should add lemon juice to the mix and if yours is dry you can add one tablespoon of sunflower oil.

2. A banana, Yogurt, honey and grapefruit mask

• What you can gain – Yogurt adds elasticity and firmness to the skin tissues and cells with its amino acid reserves. Honey adds its antioxidants, antiseptic, healing and moisturizing properties to the skin. The banana contains potassium and magnesium minerals while the grapefruit juice consists of anti-aging benefits thus helps to make the skin smooth and firm.

• Steps – Mash one banana and puree the grapefruit to remove two tablespoonfuls of juice. Add two tablespoons of yogurt and two tablespoons of honey to the mix. Stir all the four ingredients together until you create a paste. Apply it to the face and leave it for fifteen minutes. If you have a dry skin type you should add some wheat germ oil and use this recipe two times a week.

3. A face mask with honey for Acne skin

Acne is a major problem that disturbs people who have oily skin. The annoying break outs can be stopped slowly but surely with honey, Aloe Vera and Saint Johns Wort or green tea.

Preparation – Measure Saint Johns Wort herb and hot water in equal amounts and mix to make herbal tea. Add a few teaspoons Aloe Vera and honey. Apply to the acne-prone face when the blend has cooled down fully. Green tea can be used in place of Saint Johns Wort herb if one has dry skin. The Saint Johns Wort boasts a very powerful exfoliating effect which can irritate dry skin.

A face mask with honey tips

If you intend to reduce oily substance on your skin, you need to look for ingredients that can naturally do this. If mixed properly with natural honey, the egg white and apple juice can amazingly reduce sebum. If you moisturize your dry skin with honey, it is good to add products that can supplement the moisture content of honey. These include mainly the avocados and ripe bananas.
