When you look at Wen hair care complaints, you’ll notice three things stand out. As a matter of fact, the most common complaint doesn’t even have anything to do with the Wen hair care products themselves. Which is a good thing, because that means you can learn from the mistakes of others and avoid ending up complaining about the same thing yourself. Right now I want to take a look at one of the common Wen hair care complaints first that involves the cleansing conditioner itself; greasy hair.
Something people complain about after trying Wen hair care products for the first time is that their hair feels incredibly greasy. Sometimes they notice this the next day, sometimes even right after washing. Most of the times though, this can be prevented with a few simple changes.
Rinse your hair thoroughly. Because there aren’t any suds to rinse out you might not be rinsing all the product out. Make sure you rinse your hair for at least two minutes after using one of the Wen cleansing conditioners. Obviously, the longer your hair, the longer it will take to get rid of every bit of conditioner.
If paying more attention to your rinsing ritual isn’t paying off, try this one; wash your hair less frequently. This may come as a bit of a shock, or at the very least a novel idea, to many of you, but you really don’t need to wash your hair every single day to keep it clean and healthy. Unless you run a marathon on a daily basis of course. Washing your hair daily, strips it of all the necessary oils to keep it healthy. This usually results in your scalp creating more natural oil to replace the oil you just washed away. Try washing your hair only once or twice a week. And keep this up for a couple of weeks so your scalp knows you’ve changed your routine and it doesn’t have to produce as much oil anymore. If you can’t stand the feeling of waiting that long to wash your hair, just wash it with plain water whenever you feel like it. You’ll still end up with the feeling of freshly cleansed hair without doing any damage to your hair at all.
Another cause for a greasy Wen head of hair could be that you’re using too much (or too little) of the Wen hair care products. Yes, the bottle tells you to use x amount of pumps. But in reality, most people can use far less and achieve great results. I’ve read many Wen hair care reviews where the reviewers admitted they weren’t too thrilled with the product at first, but decided to experiment. After all, nobody likes to throw away an expensive bottle of shampoo they’ve only used once. Some claimed that it took them nearly a month before they figured out exactly how much product they needed to use on their hair, going on to say they were now so happy with their Wen cleansing conditioner that they would never go back to regular shampoo. Everybody (and hair) is different, what works for one person, may not work for you, so experiment to see what does work for you
Oh, and those last two tips will also help with another Wen complaint: price. By using fewer pumps and washing your hair less frequently, you’re not only saving product, you’re saving money.
In the next article in this series, I will discuss one of the other 3 most common Wen hair care complaints: hair loss.
