Easy DIY Hair Masks For Dry And Damaged Hair

Dry and damaged hair is a common problem, that's why it's really important that we should apply a deep conditioner to our hair at least once a week. But did you know that it's fully possible to make homemade hair mask by using ingredients that we usually have in our kitchen cabinets? Not only is it cheap to make, but homemade hair masks are much more gentle to our hair and scalp, and not to forget more nourishing than any product you can come across at stores or your hair salon.

1. Olive Oil And Honey

  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons of honey
  • Add the olive oil and honey in a little bowl and mix well.
  • Apply thoroughly through your hair, cover it with a plastic bag, and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse out, and then shampoo and condition as normal.

2. Egg, Avocado And Lemon

  • 1 egg
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 0,5 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Mix all the ingredients well. It's a good idea to use a blender, so you don't end up with chuncks of avocado in your hair.
  • Apply well onto your hair, and let it sit for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse in luke warm water, make sure it's not too warm, because you will end up "cooking" the egg in your hair.
  • Shampoo and condition as normal.

3. Banana, Honey And Yogurt

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 5 oz of plain yogurt
  • Mash the banana well, and then mix in the honey and yogurt.
  • Apply thoroughly through your hair, and let it sit for an hour. You might want to cover it with a plastic bag, or keep a towel around your shoulders.
  • And then, you rinse and wash your as normal.

4. Avocado, Olive Oil And Honey

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Mash the avocado well (I like to use a blender), and then add in the olive oil and honey. Mix well.
  • Apply onto your hair, cover with a plastic bag, and let it sit for an hour.
  • Rinse, and wash hair as normal.

5. Honey, Almond Oil And Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of almond oil
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Apply thoroughly through your hair, this treatmeant is great for split ends, so make sure to apply extra there.
  • Let it sit for 45 minutes.
  • Rinse, and shampoo and condition hair as normal.

Pretty simple don't you think? The results is soft, shiny and healthy looking hair. And if you don't have all the ingredients in the house, don't worry. You can make 1-ingredient hair masks, that also give wonderful results.
