Pimples are a source of discomfort and low self-esteem. Caused by both internal and external factors, and often appear on the open skin surfaces such as the face, making it difficult to live with them. The reasons why pimples normally present themselves on open areas include among others that; the skin surface of these areas are in contact dirt and external bacteria from the environment. It is important to know how to get rid of pimples fast, and the correct formula to use, for a smooth skin.
The first thing to know when it comes to clearing pimples is, the cause is not always skin deep. Sometimes toxins within the body cause pimples, this means topical treatments do not always work. Some suitable treatments for both externally and internally caused pimples are as described below.
Clean the skin. A clean skin is free of dirt and bacteria under the skin. By cleaning the skin using warm water and salt, you open up the skin pores, letting out dirt trapped under the skin that cause skin inflammation. You should take care not to over do it, as this may prick the inflammation, creating an avenue for more germs to get into the skin, causing more serious skin conditions. Water also reduces itching by softening the skin.
Use natural ointments and soaps. The choice of skin care products is critical in the treating of skin inflammations. Natural cures such as olive oil, Aloe Vera, and cloves are known to work fast. The fact that these skin appliances are topical treatments makes them useful for pimples whose source is skin deep.Have patience, as it takes some time before the pimple condition is fully gone. Mixing of the skin lotions, creams, and other treatment causes resistance; this in turn causes other infections that present a greater challenge to treat.
Use antibiotic treatments. Antibiotics are good bacteria killers that yield positive results, almost every time you use them. Some of the commonly used antibiotics are tetracycline, erythrocyte and benzoyl peroxide. The problem with them is their side effects. When choosing an antibiotic, you need to put into consideration the following factors:
- Age of user, some such as tetracycline are not for use by children below the age 9 years
- Side effects, almost all of them cause stomach upsets and nausea.
- Cost, some cost a fortune; you must check their cost to avoid cases where you have to stop their use.
- Patient's condition, Some are known to have negative effects on pregnant women, and those taking birth control pills.
- Availability of the antibiotic
You should not touch or scratch the skin, as doing this interferes with the healing process, slowing it down
