There are five types of psoriasis a fact that makes it difficult to understand it symptoms, as they all present themselves differently. The five are; plaque, guttate, postural, inverse and erythrocyte.
Plaque is the most common of the five. Below are the symptoms of each of them.Plaque is the most common type, appearing in form of red and white patches of scale on the skin surface. In some people it has no physically visible symptoms. It mostly occurs on the skin of elbows and knees. It can also affect other areas of the skin including; the scalp, feet soles, palms, and the genitals
Guttate psoriasis is not a common psoriasis skin condition, small, red, and scaly tear-drop spots appear on the arms, legs, and middle of the body. Its patients are mostly under the age of thirty. The spots are covered with silver like scales and are mostly on arms, and legs

Pustule psoriasis is also uncommon. Presents itself as clearly defined, raised bumps filled with pus. The skin under and around these bumps turns reddish. Large portions of the skin may redden. It is the worst of all of them.
Erythroderma is uncommon appearing as general redness of the skin that involves almost all the skin surface.
