Boat Tubes - 4 Things To Look For When Shopping For Your New Towable Tub

With the summer months upon us many people are getting there boat tubes out and are getting ready to hit the lakes. Tubing season is in full swing up here in Minnesota and we are enjoying getting out on those 10,000 lakes and sipping back on cold beer. So if your like me and are looking for a new tube this summer for the lake than you might want to consider these 4 things when shopping for a towable tube.

1.High Quality PVC Bladder - Is the bladder made out off high gauge PVC Plastic ? The bladder is the inner shell of the tube that holds the Air in. You want this material to be high quality so it stays inflated and doest leak or pop.

The gauge you want is 30 Gauge or better when it comes to buying a water tube for boating. Be sure to check the Quality of the PVC to make sure your tube is made to last.

2. Easy Inflation and Deflation- Does it inflate easy ? Tubing is very fun, but not if inflating and deflating is a nightmare. Another thing you want to check out when looking for towable tubes is that you want the tube to have a easy inflation and deflation system.

This helps save time and ensures you get plenty of time to go tubing.

3. How Stable is the tube on Turns- You also want to check if there are stabilizer fins on the tube or if the tube is known to be stable. If a tube isn't stable and is always flipping even when going slow.

It won't be much fun after awhile. So be sure to research which ones are designed for speed and which ones are going to crash on big turns.

4. Does it cause Arm Strain- Last , but probably the most important thing to look for , unfortunately there is really no way to test this out before deciding on your tube.

But you want to make sure the tube has a good handle system. The Handle system will help ensure that you don't strain your arms or joints.

Some tubes may be fun, but if after 10 min your arms are sore than your tubing day ends. Good quality tubes have quality handles that won't strain your arms.

There you have 4 things you want to consider when looking at towable tubes. Its best to read plenty of reviews, and do your due diligence to make sure that you will find the best boating tube for you this summer.
