Benefits Of Improved Breast Cancer Awareness

According to research reports, breast cancer in the UK affects one out of eight women in some stage of her life. This disease has become a common disease in the UK and has taken the lives of many women in past years. Now, due to awareness and screening tests offered by NHS, the survival rates have increased. Having concerns over this deadly disease has compelled many women to take every single step to maintain healthy breasts. For this purpose, they focus on living a healthy lifestyle.

Breast cancer does not see age, shape or size as it can affect your breasts at any stage in your life. You need to be breast aware at all stages of your life and this can only be done if you properly examine your breasts from time to time. Remember that BC can also affect men as well. In UK, around 340 cases of breast cancer in men are diagnosed each year. The causes of BC are not known however only three percent of breast cancer cases are found to have genetic faults in BRCA genes. Such genetic fault carries very high risk of developing cancer in woman.

Tips to reduce chances of getting breast cancer

It is better to take every possible suitable measure to reduce the chances of getting breast cancer. For example, you might reduce chances of getting cancer slightly if you have more children. You can also reduce chances of getting it if you breast feed your baby. Make sure you avoid the use of contraceptive pills because such pills can increase the risk of getting BC. Also avoid drinking of alcohol as it can also increase chances of getting breast cancer.

How to reduce extra fat?

To maintain good health of your breasts it is important to make some healthy changes in your diet. A healthy diet always contains fresh and colored fruits like orange, banana, strawberry, carrots etc and green vegetables. This is because fresh fruits and green vegetables are rich in nutritional vitamins and anti-oxidants. Remember that these vitamins and anti-oxidants can help in prevention of breast cancer and can also stop the aging process as well. A self breast check along with healthy exercises and healthy diet will surely help you a lot to maintain healthy breasts for a long span of time.
