If you tried getting a six pack abs and failed you may be making a big mistake. There are ab exercises that will actually push your stomach out even more. Don’t waste no more time tying to lose belly fat they way you used to. Keep reading to find out the best ab exercises and how to avoid the biggest mistake people make when trying to achieve losing belly fat.

The biggest mistake people make when trying to get a six pack is doing ab exercises that only target the mid section. These exercise I’m referring to are crunches, sit-ups and leg raises. People are wasting their time doing these so called ab exercises and they don’t provide any results whatsoever. All these exercises do is push out the stomach more and the flab on the stomach will continue to cover those beautiful muscles. I don’t care if you do 1000 crunches a day, you will not get those six pack abs you want. Doing crunches don’t really burn calories.

The best exercise for the abs is to focus on doing a full body workout and healthy eating. This is the way to lose the belly fat and get the six pack abs you long for. Men and women can both benefit from full body workouts. Both should include weight training in their routines as this helps fight belly fat and both genders will be able to get six pack abs. Another mistake that is made mostly by women is their fear of doing weight training exercises. Women should not be afraid of doing weight training because they won’t get bulky like a man. The only thing it will do is help you lose body fat faster.

Another mistake people make is worrying about the calories burnt during a cardio work out. Yes you may burn a lot of calories during the workout than when doing weight training, but after the cardio workout stops, so does burning calories. You will stop burning calories immediately after cardio. But with weight training, you’ll burn more calories in the long run because the process continues for up to 48 hours after the workout. While weight training, the muscles tear and after they are being “worked out” they need calories to repair themselves. It takes about 2 days for a muscle to repair and the next day when you wake up, the muscles start using fat that’s stored in your body since you haven’t eaten anything for several hours. This is an added benefit from this type of workout that you don’t get from doing cardio. It is still go to do cardio in between your weight training as both will help with fat loss. Weight training is great for anyone who struggles with belly fat. Sit ups and crunches are not necessary for getting six pack abs and are the worst ab exercise for anyone to do.
