How Can Skinny Guys Gain Muscle?

Can skinny guys gain muscle? You’re probably here because you have those skinny genetics and cannot seem to build muscle no matter how hard you try. You’ve tried working out but all you get out of the gym is more envy of those buff people that seem to be able to build muscle just by sneezing. You’ve tried to change your workouts to find something that works but never did find it. Maybe you’ve listened to some people’s opinions and have been getting tips here and there about how skinny guys gain muscle, but never saw results first hand. Maybe you’ve totally given up on building muscle. Or maybe you never even started in the first place. I’ve got some motivational speak to share with you. I’m here to tell you that you can get big and buff, but first you have to rewire your brain.

Don’t worry, no electrical tools needed. I’m talking about attitude. You need to rewire your attitude and turn it into something conducive to building muscle. If you don’t have the right attitude then forget being able to push yourself hard during your workouts, forget reassuring yourself that you’ll perform even better next time when you’re coming out of the gym with your body screaming at you from pain, forget sticking to your hardcore nutrition plan in which you need to diligently stuff yourself with food every 3-4 hours, and forget a lot of other things that I frankly don’t even remember. Have you seen any of those inspirational stories of people who have completely changed their anorexic bodies to fit, muscular workout machines? The way all of these skinny guys gain muscle is by first having the right attitude.

After attitude comes exercise, and this is where you need to start chucking some of your old preconceptions out the window. First, chuck out the notion that you need to work out for two or three hours every workout in order to get big. Then chuck out the idea that you have to hit the gym six or seven days (or more…somehow) per week. Then totally chuck out the idea that you will never get buff and built without using steroids, regardless of what their legal status may be. Chuck all these preconceptions out, Chuck, and know that there is a better way, the way real skinny guys gain muscle.

You need to have laser-like focus. Your workouts need to be concentrated and targeted. Your exercises need to be the type known to increase muscle mass quickly and immensely by using compound motion to target multiple muscle groups. And most importantly, you need to keep your entire workout every time under 45 minutes to avoid the onset of muscle-eating Cortisol. Once you’ve had a good workout then you need proper nutrition and good rest. Remember that you don’t build muscles while working out, you build muscle while resting. That’s why three-hour workouts are not the way skinny guys gain muscle.
