It is a question genuinely asked by myself "how to put on weight". I have recently lost alot of weight due to depression which stopped my appetite. However, I ask for no sympathy lol! Now im happy again I wish to improve both my looks and fitness. I only weigh a small 8st 5. There are plenty of different methods to gain weight fast and that is the solution I have found and am about to share.

The most important part that will help you gain weight fast is eating. Obvious I know! The aim is to eat more callories than you burn. The average person will require 2000 callories a day. So to gain weight you need to increase thins as much as your appetite can handle. Planning your meals is a good way to keep record of your intake and also improves your motivation. It is best to eat the main breakfast lunch and dinner, but also try to eat inbetween them as well. It is best to eat every 2-3hours.

Choosing the right food is important too. If you dont then you wont gain muscle mass, you just get fat :)! Focus on foods such as steak, chicken, fruit, milk, vegetables, cheeses and assorted types of nuts.If you want to snack inbetween meals, which is advised, then a piece of fruit a glass of milk and a handfull of nuts will do. You dont want to loose your appetite for your larger meals.

Lifting weights is the next step to gain weight fast. If you dont then the weight put on again will be fat. It is best to train 3 days a week leaving a days rest inbetween each. It is advised that lifting only enough so you can repeat 3 sets of 8 reps will maximise putting on muscle mass. So you need to experiment a little to find what weight works for you. Exercises like squats, deadlifts, bent-over rows, chin-ups, bench press and military presses are best as they use your largets muscles and get the testosterone flowing. Also adding a small amount of weight on each workout will keep your body improving its muscle mass at its optimum.

To gain weight fast, fast being the key word, supplements are a great help to a good diet program. There are a vast range out there and most do exactyl the same as eachother. Providing they dont replace meals or snacks they will help greatly in gaining muscle mass as they have no fat in them, just the good stuff; protein; vitamins and minerals and finaly carbs. The best ones come in powder form for you to add to water or milk to make a milkshake (or watershake?). Like I said there are literally hundreds to choose from so if you want to build muscle then choosing the best ones will be most effective.

Now above all a good routine is needed to gain weight fast. If you dont stick to it then it just wont happen. I know fine well that organising one around your life can be difficult and demotivating. Thats why I pay some one to do this for me, which in turn keeps my mind on target and enthusiastic.
