How To Gain Weight For Skinny Guys

So you’re looking for information on how to gain weight for skinny guys (or gals). You’re tired of eating so much without putting on any weight. You’re frustrated with spending time in the gym that produces little to no results. You would like to improve your self-image and stop appearing so thin and skinny. How to gain weight for skinny guys is about attitude, exercise, nutrition, and rest.

You need to start with the right attitude. It’s what will help you get through your workouts. It’s what will tell you that you will beat your records the next workout even as you walk out of the gym with every muscle screaming at you from the pain. It’s what will keep you stuffing your stomach with food in order to fulfill your serving even when you cannot take in one more bite. Attitude is your most important asset. Your path along the way of how to gain weight for skinny guys starts with your attitude.

Then comes exercise. There are many types of exercise routines out there, but workouts on how to gain weight for skinny guys are special and are not like other workouts for naturally muscular bodybuilders. Those natural bodybuilders can build muscle while sneezing. You are not like that. If you have skinny genetics, you need to use the best workout that will optimize your effort and give you the best gains for your body type. That means don’t work out for two or three hours in a row, don’t work out six or seven days a week, don’t waste time doing useless isolation exercises, and certainly don’t use steroids. You need to focus on the major mass building exercises that will give you strength and lean muscle mass in the shortest amount of time possible. You also need to use the right number of reps that will optimize your mass gains.

Once you’re executing the right workout routines, then you want to think about nutrition and rest. You need to take in some serious protein and a good amount of calories to support your muscle building spree. Yes you might actually gain some fat in the beginning (gasp!) but that is actually somewhat necessary. Building muscle needs fuel, and calories give your body fuel. Also, if you’re naturally skinny it means that your metabolism is fast, necessitating that you eat at very short intervals like every 3-4 hours.

And lastly, before you decide to pull a smart move and work out for three hours remember that you don’t actually build muscle while working out. You go to work out in order to stimulate your muscles. Then you go home to eat and you actually build the muscle while resting. If you work out too long you risk getting the onset of cortisol after your first 45 minutes of exercise. Cortisol actually reverses muscle gains and will waste away your efforts. Just keep in mind that how to gain weight for skinny guys is not a riddle. You just need to work out with efficient routines, eat right, and get proper rest.
