When it comes to abs, it is not hard to get started. You just get down to it and start training with ferocity! No, the problem lies in sticking with it. When you are tested and tempted to quit, the biggest demotivation you can have is disorganization. If you are not organized, you trick yourself into taking things lightly. If you do not have a plan, you will be wasting valuable mental effort later on trying to improvise something you should have mapped out hours, days, even weeks before. If you intend to make it, you MUST get a six pack abs routine together.
It needs to be on paper and by your side throughout the entire workout. Let the paper hold the plan because right now you need your entire mind to push as hard as it can to reach new heights! Trying to juggle passion and meticulousness is like trying to juggle a chainsaw and a baby- not a good idea! Make your plans before going in and make adjustments if your feeling about something or other has changed now that you are in the DOING phase.
Things can always seem different when you are actually doing so you need to bring a pen and make corrections to your plan on the fly. You will find that more often than not, you underestimated your abilities in the original planning phase and you always seem to be upping the weights, sets, and reps. This process is GREAT for your confidence and encourages you to keep pushing for new heights with every workout.
When first writing up your plan, there are three things you should take into consideration. The first is your current level. Can you endure the workload? Can you see yourself completing this(by the skin of your teeth)? The second is time constraints. You need to be sure that you can go when you plan to go. Don`t give up on fun things you want to do just to do your workout. You never should have to! Just find an hour or two to set aside for personal and physical development every day. The third and final consideration is results. What is working for you? How does THIS style of working out compare to THAT. A results-based gameplan is a gameplan you can count on!
This is, in truth, very basic stuff! I do not think we forget such things because we are forgetful by nature. What I think is that humans have a natural aversion to adversity. The simple question that needs to be answered is "is it worth it?" If you can come up with a definitive "yes," everything else will fall into place. Always keep studying and training hard and you will see results in no time!
