Insanity Workout Calender - Is it Truly Insane?

If you keep up with the latest products in the fitness world. Then you may well already know about insanity. For those that don't, insanity is a workout program created by Shaun T, it is a sixty day program, and is advertised as being the hardest workout program out there. The hardest workout program. That's quite a big claim. Obviously with claims like that people will want to know the Insanity workout calendar.

The Insanity Workout Calendar

The insanity workout calendar works by giving you one of 10 DVDs (13 in the deluxe version) to watch and perform each day. However, don't think that you will miss a day or a workout without the deluxe version, that calendar simply replaces some of the workouts from the standard edition with more intense versions.

The fit test is performed every other Monday. This means that you can see how the program is improving your fitness and body muscle. I know from experience, this can be a big motivator, to see how much you have improved in so little time. There is also a recovery week after the first four weeks(month one) before you begin the next four(month two) You also get a rest every Sunday, to allow your body to repair itself before you work it to the max again.

Is it REALLY Insane?

I was asked this by quite a lot of my friends when I told them I got myself in to shape by using Insanity. I will share with you a story that I shared with them.

So I had just got my version of Insanity, it had been delivered a bit late and so arrived on the Wednesday, instead of Monday, when I had planned to receive it. I thought, "well no use sitting around for half a week", I thought that I would just do week one starting from the Wednesday workout, and then redo it again next week to make sure I did all of the workouts.

So, I put the DVD on, which happened to be "cardio power and resistance" a solid forty minutes of real work. There was Shaun T, just like on the commercials, and we started. About ten minutes in I was sweating more than I ever had in my entire life. I play football(soccer) every week and did so all through my childhood, and I was destroyed. That's when Shaun said "okay that's the warm-up done, now it's time to really push." That is when I realised that Insanity really does what it says on the tin. I have never experienced exercise that intense before, or since. I struggled my way through the DVD, doing as Shaun said and taking it at my own pace. My own pace happened to be on the floor trying to recover for the majority of the time.

The Cardio Recovery the next day helped me out a lot, relieving a bit of that muscle soreness. For about three weeks, the warm-up continued to take it out of me, then it actually started to feel like a warm-up. I could feel my body getting stronger, shedding fat faster, and it wasn't long before i could see it as well.

So yes, it is insane. It is hard. But, when the bar on the bottom of the screen reaches the end, and you are done, its all worth it

Who is Insanity for?

Insanity is for those of us that like to really work your body, to feel how hard you push yourself. Insanity is for those of you that will hit a wall, that will feel they can't go on, then get back up and smash through that wall. I would advise though, that anyone with joint problems checks with their doctor before starting this program, the intensity of it really is overwhelming.

So, in conclusion.

Yes, Insanity is truly Insane.

Yes, it will work your body to the max.

Yes, it will get results, if you stick at it

There are many reviews of insanity out there, my advice to you would be to not just pass people off as trying to sell this product when they say how hard it is. You have heard it here, and you will hear it in almost every other place you visit. If you get Insanity, prepare to work your body like never before, and see results like never before.
