Learn How to Muscle Build – 10 Tips For Your “How Can I Gain Weight” Quest

Get off your couch and learn how to muscle build. If you’re asking yourself “How can I gain weight”, then you want to be sure you will gain the right kind of weight. You surely don’t want to gain fat. You might be thinking that you’re very anorexic and just need to gain any type of weight. But trust me, you don’t want to gain your weight as fat. You want to get fit and gain muscle.

Muscle makes you strong, fat does not. Muscle means that your body is healthy and lean and free from potential debilitating illnesses, fat does not. Muscle looks healthy and cool, fat does not. Instead of asking your “How can I gain weight”, you need to point yourself towards how to muscle build. Make no mistake about it though, you will gain some fat on your way to building muscle, but a small amount of fat is normal. What you want to avoid is gaining a major portion of that weight as fat.

If you have read this far and are still asking “How can I gain weight”, here are ten tips to help you in your quest on how to muscle build and put on mass:

1) Have the right attitude. The right attitude means you need to believe that you can do it and that those who doubt your success need to get lost.

2) Stop overloading yourself with information. Pick a workout plan that is relevant to your skinny body type and get rolling. Don’t keep chasing the latest and greatest advice on how to muscle build and don’t keep changing your workouts every week. Pick something and stick with it till you see results.

3) Hit the gym for the duration of an hour or less for every workout, then get out. Forget about working out for 2-3 hours every time. Cortisol levels shoot up in your muscles after 45 minutes of activity and Cortisol will eat your muscles alive – certainly not a good answer for your “How can I gain weight” question.

4) Go for the major mass-building combination exercises like the squat, bench press, deadlift, and back rows.

5) Skip the isolation exercises like the fruity bicep curls and the even fruitier calf extensions. Hit the major combination exercises with enough intensity and good form and you stimulate all the muscles in your body for maximum weight gain.

6) Forget about changing your workout every few weeks to “shock your muscles”. Muscles respond to two commands: push and pull. They don’t care about what the stupid order of your routine is as long as you’re making them push and pull. Create a good weekly routine of how to muscle build and stick to it and you shall see results.

7) Eat every 3-4 hours. Yes, you heard that right. If you have the skinny genes you need to be eating like it’s the end of the world. “How can I gain weight”, you ask? You will not build new muscles or even maintain the muscle you have gained unless you’re keeping a continuous flow of protein to your body.

8) Make sure you’re getting enough calories. Fat people have calories stored in their fat, and they can use that as a source of energy when they’re exercising to lose weight. Guess what? If you’re skinny that means you don’t have that energy reservoir to tap into and you need to supply your body with calories to help you muscle build.

9) Drink 8-10 cups of water per day. Staying hydrated is essential for mass gain.

10) Set goals and stick to them. Determine how much weight you want to put on and how much iron you want to be lifting. Test the waters at first to get a starting point of your actual capabilities in how to muscle build, then set a plan with goals to guide your path.

Hi Muscle Building, I read through your article and first thing that comes to mind is that the first paragraph doesn’t seem to have a clear introduction of any sort, and seems to reiterate the same points in different words. Try and have a clear introduction and be clear with your point as brief as possible. In this case, less is better. In your top 10 tips, avoid using words such as “fruitier” as they don’t appear very academic and you lose credibility. Also, it’s always a good idea to briefly summarize where you learned your information from, so that your readers gain confidence in you and believe in what you are saying. Hope the info was helpful!  Nick

That was "fruitier", not "fruiter".
