The body uses it to synthesize carnosine, which performs variety of important roles in the body. The research show that increasing carnosine in the skeletal muscles can potentially improve performance. Research also says that taking Beta-Alanine is more superior than just taking carnosine. This supplement is especially useful for people, who are vegetarians or for people who eat limited amount of meat.

The best supplements for building muscle - Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA)

BCAA-s form a branch of another chain of atoms, instead of forming a straight line like other amino acids do. But the fact is that nothing replaces the nutrients, minerals and vitamins you get from whole natural foods. Supplements work very well, but in no way do they replace whole foods. Each person has to be very careful when choosing some new supplement and not fall for the hype. If your overall diet is not very good and if your training program is not very good, then no supplement is going to help you gain muscle mass.
