Why is it so Hard to Get A Six Pack!

Getting a six pack is not as hard as you might think. The correct term would be "tedious." You need a good diet, the right training, and a ton of discipline to get a proper six pack. If you can manage these three things, it is not hard to get a six pack at all! It just takes a bit of time depending on where your starting point is. If you are 300 pounds at 5 foot 8 you should not expect to get six pack abs within a month. Just use common sense!

Try not to get caught up in all the marketing and "quick fixes" that are out there. It is 99% baloney. The other 1% will work but at a costly price that you might not even realize you have paid until it is too late! Remember that fitness is a billion dollar business and there are those that will gladly take your hard earned money with no regard whatsoever for your results. Once they make a sale, you are dead to them.

There is also a lot of bad information out there. The fact is your abdominals are not special and deserve no special training. Just do exercises that you can only do 12-15 reps with for three sets or so just like any other muscle. Be sure to do at least one exercise for your upper abs, lower abs, and obliques for complete abdominal development. Also be sure not to overlook your lower back to avoid muscle imbalances-especially since these two muscle groups are the only things holding your lumbar spine in place!

Like so many say, "abs are made in the kitchen." Well that is half true. Abs are made in the gym and REVEALED in the kitchen. You have to eat to both gain muscle and lose weight. This can be best accomplished with a high protein, medium fat, and low carb diet. Eat lots of meat and leafy vegetables, basically.

Do not do long, grueling cardio sessions. They are a waste of time. Instead, do intense, short duration cardio like sprinting. This kind of training will provide the right stimulation to increase your metabolism and your overall energy levels which can help in other areas.

This is all you need to do to make getting abs easy. It is simply a matter of taking it seriously, training your abs normally, eating a healthy diet, and doing cardio for real! Best of luck, though I doubt you will be needing it!
