Google Keyword Tools - Tools for Internet Marketing

A very helpful set of tools for finding out what your clients are searching are the Google keyword tools. Most of this suite of tools has been folded into the Google adwords keyword tool. There are still a few tools that operate separately. Some of these tools have been seamlessly integrated together to perform a wide variety of search functions.

The most well known of the Google keyword tools is the Google adwords keyword tool. This free tool will provide you with search volumes on your search term but will also provide a list of synonyms that are identified and tested for search volumes as well. When starting out with a specific niche or a new topic, it is helpful to determine what terms have good search volume. The Google adwords keyword tools does all of this for you, provides an easy way to extract the file for use in a spreadsheet and integrates nicely into several other tools. The adwords tool has been optimized around the Google Adwords system. This is designed specifically to provide good keywords for your Pay Per Click Adwords account. It does what it was designed to do very well.

A nice tool in the Google keyword tools is the Google Trends time line tool. This tool will allow you to compare up to 5 related search terms against each other. The display will show the relative trends of the terms over time and the relative search volume of the various terms. This is helpful if you have a seasonal product or in some seasons parts of your market are stronger and parts are weaker. You can tailor your PPC campaigns to target different search targets at different times of the year.

A tool that has existed separately from the Google keyword tools but has recently been folded into the new Google adwords keyword tool, is the traffic estimator. This is available as an option from the main page of the keyword tool. The traffic estimator will give you the monthly and average search volumes and is optimized around the cost per click for a search term.

The Google keyword tools are a suite of tools that are versatile and helpful. They will allow you to gather information on your campaigns and increase your effectiveness with these campaigns. Keyword tools have a place within a strong Internet Marketing campaign. Recently, Google has said that their Adwords Keyword tool is going to be moved and will only exist inside their Google Adwords accounts. This is bad news for many that rely on the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

The good news is that there are other keyword tools that will do the job of the Google Adwords Tool and are actually better at determining the real search volumes and competition for a specific term. There are many issues with both the general Google Search and the Google Adwords Tool specifically. If you actually do a Google Search, you will see hugely inflated results. In fact, Google lies to you. But there is a way to determine the real results.
