Costa Rica Villas Details On The Country

Costa Rica is a tropical paradise situated along the shores of both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. It is endowed with pristine beaches, exotic wildlife and tropical plants as well as resorts and COSTA RICA VILLAS which visitors can enjoy. Also this country was the first in the world to abolish its military.

The country was first explored by Spanish travelers. Their initial attempts in conquering the nation were derailed by a number of factors, such as: malaria, extreme heat and heavy resistance from the native tribes. In spite of all this factors it became a colony of Spain and a permanent settlement was established. As a result, Spanish is the official language and for majority of the population English is the second language.

The people of this country, the Ticos, are very welcoming and good natured while remaining focused on their traditional family values. These are on display during their holidays when visitors are treated to elaborate nativity scenes. The democracy is stable and literacy among the citizens is very high. The official religion is Roman Catholic.

The economy is basically dominated by the agricultural sector. However, in recent years the economy has expanded as a result of strong technology and tourism industries. This has led to uplifting the standards of living of its citizens. In addition to that Costa Rica is a friendly, democratic and peaceful country.

The tourism sector is rich in activities suited for different types of visitors. For the nature lovers they are spoilt for choice considering the numerous species of wildlife as well as the sea creatures including whales, dolphins, crocodiles and sharks. The country is also well forested and a quarter of the area is set apart as national parks. The rainforest covering the mountains is deemed a paradise for ecotourism.

For adventurous individuals there are plenty of services to get their adrenalin rushing. Surfing, hiking, rafting, diving and snorkeling are among the activities on offer. The main reason for taking vacations is relaxation which is catered for by the golf courses, hotels, villas and spas available. It is possible to enjoy yourself with a low budget too.

The country enjoys a pleasant climate even at the high altitude areas. Cultural activities are also an integral part of the country. This includes theatre and contemporary dance as well as dance hall, discotheques and pubs where tropical Caribbean rhythms vibrate. The fair of the patron saints is one of the most popular carnival activities on offer when staying in one of the many COSTA RICA VILLAS.
