Hello folks, Kymee here again.
In this article I would love to help and give you some ideas on whether you should rent an RV.
Renting an RV can save some money or just make things a lot more comfortable and convenient.
Here are just a few reasons I think it would be nice to rent,
Lets say a husband and wife walk on a sales lot and can’t agree on which RV that they think will work for them, or not sure they even need to purchase one. I do know that dealers or owners would not agree to letting their RV go out for a spin for the weekend just to see if it works out.
So here is an option that might make both happy. Simply go to one of the rental RV lots. Most likely they will have an RV that looks close to what you think you would like. Make sure it is the length you had in mind, the floor plan you were thinking, and the style.
Different Styles of RVs
Here is some examples of different styles in motor homes; Class A, Class B, class C, or a travel trailer and Some of the rental places will also have toy haulers.
You might find that after renting one it is not your way of traveling, or that the type won’t work like you thought. Better to find out now than to find out later and suffer buyer's remorse. I have heard people rent many before landing on one that made them happy.
Not Much Time...
If you are a very busy family with, sports, recitals, or maybe you know you will only use an RV once or twice a year because of your demanding job. Sit down and do the math it might make more sense to rent one. NO maintenance, NO monthly insurance, No storage fees and the rental insurance will cover any accidents that may occur. There is no benefit to an RV sitting and not being used. Although life could change later on and you may decide it is better to own one. Now you know which kind to buy.
Hmmm to Stay with the In-laws?
Okay now it is time for the family reunion, wedding or some type of get together for the holidays. My point is you are a large family and to all stay in one house is not an option and staying in a hotel could be pricey. Heres what I would suggest, look at the price to rent an RV. Then stay at a nearby camp ground or some residents may have RV parking. Now you have your own space and you are still close to the gathering. When its time to leave chances will be that everyone is still smiling and looking forward to the next visit.
What if you are from the other side of the Pond?
Now to the travelers from out of the country that visit here for one to six months. I will save that for the next segment. Lets just say many numbers still need crunched.
Obviously in all these options you will need to sit down and see what makes the most sense for your budget. Many times it won’t have anything to do with the money it just make sense.
Hope I didn’t confuse an issue that's been brewing just trying to share some options. Or my ideas.
There are many companies that rent motor homes and there are private parties that will also rent their RV.
Best of luck,
See ya out there.

Love to hear your questions, comments or ideas.
Hey Kymee... great article.. don't know if you saw my wishlist blog about buying an RV to retire in... this has certainly given me some ideas... but I do like the Vista 6 for us.
No I don't blame you I Like the class C with the walk around bed for us,,,We do own a motorhome, it is a Class A. Just can't do the tent thing, at least not for extended amount of time. I hope you are able to make your dream come true. Thanks for commenting. Kymee BTW, I really love all your stuff,,,, ;o)
Thank you, and Thank you for stopping by Bill for stopping by, I agree I hate to see it when RVs just sit. It really should be traveling and having a great time.RIght? You have a great day. Kymee ;O) Hey is there something I can put in my hummingbird feeder to keep the birds coming, but keep the bees away??
Another Great Article Kymee. No question here..Renting is the only option for me...I have seen to many RV's wind up as storerooms and in one case a doghouse (what a waste that was) I don't get to travel that much right now with the recession and all. Still looking forward to the day though. Once again, great article. Be well!!
Awesome article Kymee and love your website. I love the whole idea of RV travel. You capture it all so well and all from your heart with all your passion. You will surely be very successful in this online business. Just a matter of time. I really loved that pink van on one of your website pages. I could imagine Val and I cruising the country side in that one:) Nice work, Robbie :)
I never been in a camping but I would love to share this great info to our friend. Thanks much, Kymee!
Great article! Lots of great information to think about. I never thought about the cost of keeping up on owning your own RV.... renting one would be something my family should look into sometime rather than buying since right now we only go camping about twice a year if we are lucky. Thanks for the idea Kymee! Best wishes and God Bless! Sherry
I enjoyed reading your article, Kymee. My wife and I are considering renting an RV to drive across country and back. You surprised me by not linking from your article to a rental list or a gallery of photos. I was hoping to get an idea of costs :)
