Insubordination.
Insubordination is the reason I have been fired from almost every "pud" job I've had in my life.
You know "pud" job, the job that hires a bunch of idiots who can't get jobs anywhere else, so the management (who also can't get jobs anywhere else and is usually uneducated) is forced to breathe down their neck (enjoying the power trip they gain with every exhale) until they do things professionally, or at least until they "mind" their uneducated bosses.
I have had this attitude since I was 18 and yet, I continue to land in these "pud" jobs when I am in between "real" jobs, all the while working for "the MAN"!!!
I am 32 years old! It is time to beat the system! I will work every single day because I love to work, I am good at what I do, I am passionately chasing a dream and quite honestly I love to build relationships, so working, networking, marketing, teaching, singing, all of the above help me to build relationships and build up the people in my life!
In work, whether we are a boss or an employee, isn't this the point? Isn't the whole point to build each other up? I think back to all of the "pud" jobs I've had and the reality of it was, it didn't matter that it was "pud" it didn't matter that I was more educated than my boss, the insubordination was a result of never being treated like I was worth anything.
I recently owned a business. It was for a very short period of time, but as the boss (which I didn't really love being, and quite honestly, I am not very good at) I build my employees up! I let them know every single day that if it weren't for them, my new found company never would have even thought about launching! I was so grateful for willing, appreciative, respectful people to work for me.
That was my first real attempt at being my own boss, and owning a business. Since it didn't work, it is so tempting, every single day to go back into the "workforce" and land a "real" job and as a teacher with a good resume and connections, this would not be too difficult, but I know that for me, I would be selling out.
I enjoyed teaching for 4 years, and when I resigned last spring, I wanted to do back flips down the hall leading to my classroom. This is NOT a lazy temperament, this is not an "I don't have to work" temperament, this is a driven, hard working everyday to find a solution to our never ending cycle of poverty and learn how to take control of my life, finances, and future temperament!
An open door brick and mortar business is almost a thing of the past. I am glad to be out of my first business venture and onto the .com sector to earn enough money by plugging away daily, by writing, by networking, by connecting, by inspiring to earn enough money to chase the dream of financial freedom and freedom from the uneducated "man" breathing down my neck!
Everyday is different. I chose my hours. I am responsible for me and me alone. I love to get online and write and connect and invite, and be social all while communicating ideas and hopefully inspiring people to start thinking outside the box for their future and finding ways to make the most of the present!
