There are players who used to be the focus of all the news and what happen on the sports’ world, and right know one of them is Greg Hardy. Some people say that Hardy is a problematic player, some others that he is a violent person you call him whatever you want to call him, but I keep thinking that he is a lucky guy. After all, not everybody can be involved in so many problems, and still came out unhurt.
It is of our knowledge that last year (2014) on May, Hardy was accused of domestic violence when the authorities said that Carolina Defense hangs his girlfriend, knocked her down, dragged her and threatened to kill her.
In this case, Greg Hardy voluntarily left his team and continue receiving his salary until the further judgment, in which he was supposed to be sanctioned with 60 days and 18 months under police vigilance. However, he said that he was innocent and appealed the accusation winning the right to another trail.
On the last trail, Hardy´s punishment was reduced from 10 games out to 4. He was part of the Dallas Cowboys in that moment. By the time the 4 games of suspension ended, Hardy made some bizarre comment about Tom Brady’s wife, Gisele, creating a tense atmosphere.
Harold Henderson, the coach at that time said,
“I think Hardy’s conduct clearly violate the letter and spirit of the Personal Conduct Policy (NFL) from their very basis and the Constitution and Bylaws of the NFL. The atrocious behavior exhibited here is indefensible in the NFL”
That was on 2014, but what is happening these days?
It was during the game of Cowboys vs Giants when Hardy exploded after Dwyane Harris returned a kickoff of 100 yards for a touchdown leading the Giants win and starts a hard discussion with Harris. The game ends with a score of 27-20 in favor of New York Giants.
Jason Garret, coach of Dallas Cowboys said: “Yesterday (Monday) we talk that we value passion and enthusiasm for the game, and I talked that there are better ways to channel his emotions. It was not the place or the right time. I already talked and we turned the page. What happened with Hardy often happens in the NFL where two guys are trying to inspire other. He was motivated and wanted the special team unit do their work.”
However, it seems to me this is one more controversy in which Greg Hardy is involved, and once more, he is unhurt. Dallas Cowboys will not punish him. What do you think about it? Should the Cowboys or the NFL be harder on this ‘‘special’’ player?
