Everyone have a best friend. However, not always our best friend is of the same kind. The special bond is kind of unexpected and surprises many around the world.
A black cat and a black Asian bear
At the Berlin zoo, there is an Asian black bear name Maeuschen. A black cat, Mushi, came from nowhere and a special bond had made them best of friends.
They met each other 8 years ago and have never left each other ever since. They shared and do everything together such as having meals and sun tanning together.
In their 8 years of friendship, they were separated only once during the renovation of Maeuschen's enclosure.
Maeuschen was transferred to a temporary cage while Mushi was left in the cage. Zookeepers saw Mushi quiet behavior and thereafter allow the cat to keep Maeuschen company.
A man, a dog, a cat and a mouse
Most of us especially children like to watch classic cartoon characters such as Tom and Jerry and the big dog. These characters make us glued to the television and give us sweet memory. Coincidently, in real life there are 3 animals which are living in together.
There is a man who owned 3 pets which is a dog, a cat and a mouse. We usually see owners walk their dogs but this man walk his dog together with his 2 other pets, piggy back together by the dog.
During the summer, they will stroll at Pearl Street Mall. This unusual sight caught the media attention and he was offered to interview on a television show. His pet’s popularity makes him $70,000 a year appearing on several TV shows.
A Cheetah and a dog
At the San Diego Zoo, "Animal Ambassadors" paired up a 6 month old dog and a 3 month old cheetah together.
Zoologists were looking for a shelter dog with good temperament and naturally calm demeanor to pair up with cheetah as companions. This will enable zoologist to observe and allow the animals adapt to each other by smell and their habitats.
The pair got together well fast, bonded and was playing together in a short while. However, during feeding time, they don't share the same food. The dog will push the cheetah aside if he tries to taste his food.
All the above stories tell us that we can live together in harmony, no matter where we are from. We can learn from one another, respect each other culture, race and religion. Giving a helping hand to someone that needs our help and never expect and ask anything in return.
I love the bonds animals can make. It is one of the reasons I love horse training, the are a prey animal and we are predators, but we can get along and work together and build that love for one another together.
