Kyrenia Hotels And Holidays To Kyrenia
Join 1000's of Authors at StreetArticles Today!

Nestled on the coast of Northern Cyprus, Kyrenia is probably best known for its stunning harbour, overlooked by the magnificent Kyrenia Castle. Yet the delights of Kyrenia are not restricted to its fame as a 6,000 year old civilization. Walk through the streets and tiny alleyways of Kyrenia and you will quickly realise why holidays to Kyrenia are synonymous with a magical world of pure marvel and beauty.

The superb Mediterranean climate is joined here by a friendly welcome. The town is breath-taking in its own right, picturesquely set against the crystal-clear backdrop of the Mediterranean, and with a unique atmosphere, Kyrenia will simply sweep you off your feet. In terms of accommodation, the sheer variety of Kyrenia hotels will amaze you. From the smallest to the largest, the choice is incredible!

Located on its own, large beachfront, Acapulco Cyprus (or the Acapulco Spa Resort Hotel Kyrenia to give it its full title!) is a substantial property with a wide range of accommodation, three swimming pools and enough activities on site to keep you busy for a long time. The entire resort is designed to provide a village-like feeling and closer to the sea like never before. Time to breathe the fresh sea breeze! That, of course, is only one. For a touch of sheer luxury and indulgence, the Malpas Hotel is hard to beat. Standing on the hillside above Kyrenia, the Malpas offers stunning views from its rooms, terraces and pool.

Or perhaps you would prefer something smaller? In the town itself, the Pia Bella Hotel is family owned and run. Set in delightful gardens, the hotel is actually bigger than you might imagine, but has been cleverly designed with two buildings and two pools, so never feels big or busy. Even smaller? Hideaway Cyprus sits in the hills just to the west of Kyrenia. With just a handful of rooms and cottages, Hideaway Cyprus is a real gem. Standards are superb and the accommodation is beautiful. Its size means the atmosphere is languid and peaceful, the service friendly and unobtrusive and the food excellent!

Further to the west, you will discover Riverside Cyprus. Under a mile from the cost, this is an ideal spot for families and although large, it never feels it as the accommodation is in bungalows, spread amongst eight acres of densely planted gardens. An absolute delight throughout the year, the scents of jasmine and the sight of masses of bougainvillea surprise at every corner. Not to mention the choice of restaurants and the three swimming pools!

Really though, this is just scratching the surface. There are numerous hotels in and around Kyrenia, each totally unique and each offering something different. It is hard to imagine anywhere with a wider choice of places to stay and you are sure to find something to suit your taste. And talking about taste, no description of Kyrenia would be complete without mentioning the cuisine. From a humble kebab stand to a five star luxury restaurant, the one thing shared by everywhere you can eat in and around Kyrenia is a love of good food. Never visit Northern Cyprus without trying a full meze at least once, as you will scarcely believe the variety and number of dishes presented to you!

Holidays to Kyrenia really do offer something for everyone!
