Regardless of being the official capital, Brasília is considered one of the youngest cities in the state. It was officially opened in 1960, after marking original city suburbs in 1922. Brasília has taken all the capital function of Rio de Janeiro that was the heart of Brazil decades before. The new capital differs a lot from other big cities worldwide. Its buildings evoke associations with the creations of foreign masters. The city is similar to aircraft, on the edge of which there is a square of the three powers, surrounded by the Presidential Palace, the Supreme Court and the Congress. There are two series of lightened ministry buildings, constructed in the shape of the box. Behind them one can easily notice pyramid Cathedral and City Theatre in the form of a cone. Among the other travel attractions of the new capital, it is better to visit the Botanical Garden, the Zoo, and the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Rio de Janeiro is the most popular travel destination around Brazil. The Statue of Christ the Redeemer, miraculous beaches and surely carnival in February invest in tourism attractiveness of the city. One of the most interesting places to visit is the city library that affects with the scales of its collection. Locals claim that it stores more than two million rarities of different epochs. And the National Museum exhibits more than 248 million items in various exhibition halls. And the athletes and football fans around the world might recognize the famous Maracana stadium. For residents of Rio de Janeiro, as for millions of other Brazilians, football is a passion, the Sunday holiday and the main topic of conversation in everyday life.

São Paulo is the most densely populated city in Brazil and therefore heads the list of the biggest cities in Brazil. In this city old-fashioned buildings are perfectly accompanied by novelties of contemporary architecture. So the buildings erected in the nineteenth century occupy the central part of São Paulo, and further large-scale structures are made of concrete and glass. The most notable among modern buildings is the tallest skyscraper in the country - Mirante do Vale. This 170-meter high structure appeared in 1960. It took only five years for Mirante do Vale constructors that is a very quick turnaround time, even in those days.
