Reduce the Cleaning Frequency By Following 8 Simple Loopholes

Whether it comes to the seasonal cleaning of carpets and rugs, the polishing of the wooden furnishings or the weekly wiping of dust - it should be better to reduce the cleaning and yet get the same clean results. That`s why it is essential to prevent the objects from getting dirty and to apply some amazing loopholes that will allow you to clear quickly and more effectively. Take a look:

Loophole One: Keep the newly clean rugs away from a direct sunlight. This is the best way to ensure a longer lasting clean effect, because the direct sunlight often damages the delicate fibers of the rugs. Not to mention that some hand-knotted rugs such as Oriental or vintage rugs have truly sensitive fibers. They`re not recommended for cleaning with strong detergents and even with hot water or steam cleaning machines. A great idea is to cover the windows with window blinds or to place the carpets away from the windows.

Loophole Two: Rotate carpets and rugs more frequently. This yet simple loophole is enough to ensure an even wear of the carpets. The area that sees the heaviest foot traffic changes its location, as well as areas that support the heavy furnishings like wardrobes, the kitchen table or the sofa. What better way to get rid of the recessed indentations from furniture or the area that sees the greatest kitchen grease and dirt right next to the dining table!

Loophole Three: Spray a protective solution onto the carpets as soon as finishing with the deep cleaning. The protective solution adds an extra layer of protection that keeps the fibers fluffier for a longer time, as well as reduces the stains deep into the bases of the fibers. Such a protective spray can reduce the overwhelming carpet cleaning maybe twice or more, of course depending on the wearing.

Loophole Four: Call the professional cleaners once a year. They have all the professional tools and detergents to make your carpets and rugs clean like new, which is another useful way to keep them clean for a longer time. Moreover, the professional deep cleaning of all the surrounding objects from furnishings to upholstered objects ensures less spreading of dirt throughout the floor coverings.

Loophole Five: If the rug is reversible - flip it on its backing every month after cleaning with the vacuuming machine. This may reduce the need from professional cleaning to even more. Furthermore, combine reversing with rotating to make the textile floor coverings much longer lasting.

Loophole Six: Clean only with solution that are gentle enough to the fibers and all other treated surfaces. Read the recommendations on the labels of the objects and the carpets before buying cleaning detergents. A great idea is to use eco-friendly detergents, which are gentle to the surrounding objects like wooden furnishings, as well as safe for all the family members including the pet.

Loophole Seven: Regularly wax or spray a protective solution onto leather upholsteries. This is the best way to prevent them from cracks and discoloration. Apply a special pigmentation to the old cracks to restore their shine and texture, then protect the leather surface by spraying a light coat of the protective wax. This will reduce the need to clean always the hidden parts of some leathered objects, for example – between the edges of the seat and the back of the huge leather daybed.

Loophole Eight: Spot clean as soon as you spot the spot. Whether it comes to unexpected coffee or tea spills, or greasy spots from margarine and food crumbs – it`s recommended not to leave the spot for the big home cleaning.
