Looks like I am back to those apartments again that people want to leave for another home, but don't want to leave it clean. And that's where I come in. The apartment is vacant or pretty much so. Sometimes there is something left behind and most likely it is stuff that should be tossed in the garbage.
The bathroom, sometimes an apartment has one, sometimes two. And it needs a cleaning for the next tenant. Using a high duster or a broom, dust way up there, getting rid of accumulated dust. Run the duster over the vent cover. That little contraption loves to collect dust. Next, take a vacuum that has tools for edging or a small vacuum specifically designed for smaller jobs, vacuuming the inside of the drawers where bits of hair has accummulated. Sweep or vacuum the floor. Chances are this will have to be repeated.
In the apartments I clean, the light fixture seems to hide dirt, so I take it off and leave it off until the bathroom is completely cleaned. The exposed light bulbs let me know if that tub is really clean or did I miss some stubborn stain. Attack the bathtub with a cleaner such as Soft Scrub with bleach. Get the walls and tub wet with a cup and using a comfortable scrubber or sponge, let the cleaner soak for a while on the material.
Flush the toilet(for the apartment complex, I do this to make sure it works proper). Squirt in toilet bowl cleaner. I find the cheapest cleaners work as well as the more expensive ones. Let it sit a few minutes while you scour the sink and clean the drawers and cabinets. Mean Green works great. Back to the toilet with a brush, scrub away and flush. This might have to be done a couple times if it is really stained. Spray the tank and toilet seat with Mean Green. Let that sit while you clean the mirror. I find cleaning the mirror after cleaning the sink makes more sense and saves a little time as another cleaner will likely get sprayed on the mirror. I turn off the light to make sure I didn't leave streaks. Standing in the doorway of a darkened bathroom tells me how I did on the mirror. Finish the overhaul of cleaning the toilet, wiping down the Mean Green with a wet rag, then dry the exterior.
The bathtub can be worked on inbetween all this if you think it needs another rescrubbing. Rinse off the Soft Scrub with bleach and finish any minor stains with a wet Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Rinse that off and wipe dry with a cloth.
After highlighting the towel bars, light switch, toilet paper hold and shower and sink knobs with stainless steel, sweep or vacuum the floor again and then mop it. Mean Green is a great product with various uses. If the floor is very stained, it can be sprayed on the floor and left a few minutes and upon scrubbing it off, you will most likely get rid of those awful stains.
That is one way to clean a bathroom.
