You can join hiking clubs in your area if you really love hiking. In this way, you can join their plans and you will also go with others who have the same hobby with you. You can also ask your family members, friends, or colleagues to go with you in your future hiking plans.
2. Don't Overestimate Your Capacity
Even if you think that you are physically fit, it is still better for you to choose the hiking trails for beginners. In this way you can be safe and you can enjoy more your hiking. You also have to follow the rules and don't go to the dangerous paths. You have to go with your guide and just go with the team.
3. Don't Go if the Weather is Bad
Before going to hike, check if the weather is fine. Even if you planned for a long time and you got really excited, you must cancel the hike if the weather is really bad. You will be the one to suffer anyway if you force to go. So just go back for now and reschedule the trip. The days will not be gone so better hike in the other days.
4. Wear Enough Clothes
So what clothes do you need to wear? Well, it depends on the place that you will be going. Because of that, you have to research well about the climate in your destination.
However, you still have to wear more clothes in layers to make sure. In this way, if the place is cold then you got no problem. But if it is hot then all you have to do is take off some clothes you wore. It is also better if you use either hiking or backpacking boots and not just an ordinary rubber shoes.
You also have to bring enough materials such as lamp, matches, candles, first aid kit, etc. Just bring enough foods and water to supply your energy while hiking.
