Are You A Coffee Junkie, Too?

Hello. My name is Mindy, and I'm a coffee junkie. I'll admit it! There should probably be a 12-step program for people like me! (Like I would ever give it up, though! HA!) Everyone has their vices, right? Mine is definitely that tall, dark, handsome Cup o' Joe! Like a dedicated lover, it's there to greet me every morning, and sweetly kiss my lips each night.

Many people who know me personally think I have a 'serious problem' with my addiction to coffee. (What a bunch of drips!) Coffee is a great start to the day, is it not? Coffee Junkies, UNITE! The way I see it, we need to band together and share our passion for this 'Calgon in a cup'! It's truly what gets us through the wee hours of the morning when that blasted alarm clock goes off, isn't it?!

You don't see coffee companies all over the WORLD complaining, do you? Coffee has become a multi-billion dollar industry that has created stable incomes for families, has kept tired drivers alert, and given people something to look forward to, when they 'just need five minutes to regroup'!

While it's true that the caffeine in coffee COULD have what some would consider negative side-effects (a sense of feeling 'jittery', an increased heart rate, etc), in a normally healthy person, it's perfectly safe to consume. In fact, did you know that it would take 80-100 cups of coffee consumed in a limited time to cause a lethal reaction? Ummm...Yeah...Pretty sure someone would have to have an iron bladder for that to happen in the first place! (Although I know some people who drink alcohol that probably come pretty close!)

The point of the matter is, coffee has many benefits to it's consumption. Whether one prefers a Cappa-Frappa-whatever or just a straight black cup, coffee long been used for social gatherings, too. (How many times did Lucy get together with Ethyl to chat over a cup of coffee?) It has been that way for years, and will continue to be that way in the years to come. The rest of the world may consider us nothing more than a bunch of coffee junkies, but we know the truth - it's the icon for sharing and warmth among friends.

I would be honored to be added to your list of coffee-loving friends. No pressure, of course, but let me know, and I'll be happy to get a pot of coffee started!

I love it in ya. I too am a coffee junkie, and proud of it. I've pursued my addiction for many years. I'm not much of an adventurer anymore, but I do love a strong cup of French Roast.
