Bulletproof Coffee Reviews: The Change I Made

So what's the big deal?

In 2013, I heard this idea of bulletproof coffee for the first time. News was that adding butter and MCT oil to your coffee greater increases cognitive function (with added benefit of weight loss). I was a little suspicious, so I collected bulletproof coffee reviews from some people around town, and did research online.

It's nothing new:

A few people told me their late family members were mixing butter coffee before my great grandfather was born. That would put us back in the late 1800's! Interestingly enough... I could not get a specific reason as to why people added butter to their coffee...

Maybe they thought it would make coffee taste better? Maybe people noticed a brain boost? Or maybe it's just because that's what they did. Scientists have since investigated this brewing method, and are still debating whether or not bulletproof coffee actually increases brain function, and if it leads to a real loss of weight.

My experience:

I wanted to try out this "bulletproof coffee", but I made a little tweak based from some personal research. My recipe consisted of only coconut oil... I cut out the butter completely. It is as follows:

Just 1 tbsp of coconut oil.

Within a week of drinking this coffee, I felt more lively, and I actually felt happier! I was also completely satisfied after only one cup. Normally, I keep the coffee coming, even after 3 of 4 cups!

A few different recipes:

1 tbsp unsalted butter:

Most likely, the necessary ingredient is stocked in your home refrigerator. According to my research around town: old timers used this recipe to make their coffee creamy and smooth.

1 tbsp unsalted butter, 1 tbsp MTC oil:

Today, everybody is talking about this recipe! It's the one I heard about in 2013, but really not much different than the previous one. MTC oil is said to react with butter, causing a "brain boost" and adding some essential fats to your diet.

1 tbsp grass fed (organic) butter, 1 tbsp MTC oil:

Organic butter is said to have a positive effect on the brain... But after hours of research I couldn't find any hard evidence for this.

1 tbsp organic butter, 1 tbsp coconut oil:

According to some experts, this is the best way to make "bulletproof coffee". For one, the combination works as an anti-depressant. This hard fact alone can lead to a noticeable increase in cognitive function.

1 tbsp of coconut oil, cut the butter out completely.

Having tried the above method, and simply not liking it... I decided to just try out coconut oil. In doing so, I noticed a severe increase in my mood. I work up to 80 hours per week, and I have to say: coconut oil is a fair arch enemy of stress! Some facts about coconut oil: It's an immune booster, probiotic, anti-depressant, and more! Who needs butter? (...Of course I will leave the factor of butter in coffee up to personal preference).

Sheerly because all the pros of coconut oil, I recommend using it in your coffee

If you'd like, try all recipes! I can almost guarantee you that you'll only notice a real immediate difference when you use coconut oil. For a similar article, check out Savvey Coffee.

Thanks for reading, and good luck on your bulletproof adventures!

Thank you!
