Sumatra Coffee Beans

The Sumatran region boasts of coffee as an integral part of its culture. Little wonder why the region prides on one of the best coffee beans in the world - the Sumatra coffee beans. In most cases, the Sumatra coffee beans are not sold by region like what obtains in many countries of the world since some guidelines need to be adhered to strictly. The guidelines have to do with picking, preparation as well as the processing techniques of the beans. Today, the guidelines have led to the availability of a number of unique brands in the market. For example, the coffee beans grown in the Sumatran west are usually known as "Gayo Mountain". You will find this coffee bean sweeter than a host of other varieties of Sumatra coffee beans.

As for the Mandheling variety of the Sumatra coffee beans, it is reputed for being the most common as well as most loved! Produced inland from the south coast, the Mandheling coffee got its name from the Indonesian natives who used to produce the coffee some time ago. The Sumatran Mandheling is regarded as the best and finest of the Sumatra coffee beans varieties. A lot of factors have played a part in making this quality distinction happen. For example, the plants are grown in rich volcanic soil which is located on the slopes of volcanoes that are going extinct already. These extinct volcanoes, the warm climate, rich soil and high slopes come together to give the Mandheling that unique taste and distinct flavor. My advice to you if you are looking for Sumatran coffee beans is that you make sure you go for only “green” coffee beans. Doing this will give you the unique opportunity to roast your own coffee so that you can enjoy the freshest cup at the end of the day.

A lot of unique features help to make the Mandheling one of the finest coffee beans the world can boast of. While some may say the preparation of the beans is unorthodox, nobody can deny its end product of unique taste and flavor. The beans are usually dried using stages of moisture interruption. At the end of the rigorous processing, what you get is no better than complex remarkable flavors. To that end, many have cautioned that the roasting and processing are similar to the fermentation of fruits, claiming that must and dew may be present.

However, I want to advise that you should not be put off by these false claims. The Sumatran coffee is so unique owing to the vast amount of flavors which are already in the green beans themselves and not because of any contamination as wrongly speculated. When the green beans are roasted, the unique flavors build up, giving one the richest, finest and yet complex coffees that you can find in our world today.

As wrongly believed, even the acidity is so minimal that it is hardly noticeable. I will call these Sumatra coffee beans the” Indonesian luxury” that gives the finest flavors and most complex tastes ever known with coffees. No wonder the coffee is much sought after by coffee lovers all over the globe, despite the fact that there are so many coffee beans to choose from. No doubt, the Sumatra coffee beans will continue to produce the freshest cup of coffee that gives the most refined taste. Come join me as we enjoy the rich goodness. Cheers!
