Spigen Iphone 6s Plus Case Review

Today, we are going to be reviewing Spigen’s iPhone 6S Plus Case, specifically the Spigen [Tough Armor Volt]. The thing that makes this case unique is that it is capable of wireless charging. How can you be sure that this case is worth it? Well, it’s from Spigen. If you do not know, Spigen has been around for more than a decade already, and in these years, they have earned the respect and trust of a lot of people. They have now made it as one of the top leading global providers when it comes to high quality mobile accessories. Presently, Spigen still continues to grow and aim for new goals all the while, maintaining their values or smart and productive products. If you take a look at Spigen products, you will notice that the company puts a lot of effort into reflecting the customer’s needs and they do all these with hoping to be a permanent partner in their consumer’s lives.

Now, it’s time to talk about the case. As I said, the thing that makes this case standout compared to other cases is because it is capable of wireless charging. In a simpler way to say it, this case allows you to charge your iPhone 6S Plus with or without the need for the cable. When you grasp it in your hands, you might feel that it’s familiar. This is because it has the exact same size and as well as shape of the original slim armor case from Spigen. A built-in wireless charging receiver comes with the case. It is because of this that charging wirelessly is made possible… You can insert this receiver and remove it easily.

This case is also a great choice if you want high quality protection for your iPhone 6S Plus. Spigen designs their cases to have a dual layer of protection because of the polycarbonate and TPU material. Another plus for this case is because aside from being dual layered, it has also been equipped with Air-Cushion technology. With these three protective features, you can be sure that your case is protected from everyday wear and tear. These protective features will absorb the impact and keep it away from the phone. The TPU layer will be the one who will absorb it.

The Spigen company discourages using this case with Spigen’s another product, which is the Magnetic Air Vent Mount. This is because of the metal plate in the case. If you are going to buy this case, it would be great if you would also purchase the Spigen Wireless charger. Here is a picture of it below:

This is a wireless charging dock that’s in a standing design so you can easily view your phone. You will be able to vertically or horizontally position it. At the back of this case (can’t be seen in the photo), there are LED lights that indicates the operation of the wireless charging pad. Spigen recommends that you use a 2A adapter to be able to get the best results.

Aside from this, it would also be great if you will also buy ANKER’S Wireless Charger PowerPort Qi. This device will be able to control it’s own temperature when it reaches 107˚F to keep your device safe from overheating. Also, it has what they call the power-efficient idle mode that never overcharges or wastes energy. It also has LED indicator lights. Remember this:

RED – means ready to charge

BLUE – means it’s charging

BOTH LIGHTS ON – means that your device is fully charged

BLINKING LIGHTS – means that the device connected to it is unsupported

Now for the prices, they won’t really be costing you so much. The Spigen Tough Armor Volt case costs aroung 29.99 US DOLLARS at Amazon. It’s original price at Spigen’s website is at 49.99 US DOLLARS, so it would be the best move for you to buy from Amazon. Also from Amazon, you will be able to buy the Spigen Wireless charger at only 26.99 US DOLLARS. Lastly, the ANKER Wireless Charging PowerPort Qi is being sold for 12.49 US DOLLARS. Together, these three will only cost you 69.47 US DOLLARS.

Here are some reviews about the case:

“I am a big fan of Spigen cases and also a huge fan of wireless charging. My normal phone is a Galaxy Note 5, but I have an Iphone 6 for work. I lost the lightning cable on a recent trip and since I really only used it for charging I bought this case. This case works on all qi bases that I own and also on the new fast-charge samsung wireless chargers. It doesn't overheat and charges pretty quickly for a wireless charger. You can also pull out the lightning plug in case you ever need to plug it into your computer.

The Spigen case itself is usual top notch quality. The power and volume buttons are thick chunky rubber making it easy to use with gloves. I haven't had any issues plugging headphones in, but it looks like a tight fit with some pairs.” – J. Grillot

“The case is solid and has a great feel to it. It charged, using a qi wireless charger for 2 days then stopped. I am in the process of getting a replacement sent to me and I'll give an update when I get the new one.

The only down side I see, other than not actually working, is the charging port attachment is sharp and sticks out more than it should.” – Darrell Spears

As we come to a conclusion of today’s review of Spigen’s iPhone 6S Plus case Tough Armor Volt case that comes with a wireless charging feature, I hope that you have found it informative and helpful as you decide what case you should get for yourself or for a loved one.
