Passion, hate, fear, and sadness are just a few of the emotions that can be recognized in music. Music has the ability to express emotion through related situations. When someone is angry, “Numb” by Lincoln Park is more likely to be heard versus “It’s a beautiful World” by Lois Armstrong. When we hear a song from our favorite artist we tend to turn it up a notch. Someway we have related ourselves with to what the artist is singing about. We find a piece of us in music. A friend of mine that was going through a break up was so convinced that Irreplaceable by Beyonce was the “best song” ever made. Today her taste in music has changed slightly. I mean she still likes Beyonce and all but her new love has brought Kc and JoJo to the top of her music list. As we live life we all experience different emotions and for every emotion we experience there is music to accompany that emotion. Ok so we all agree that we relate to music through related situations, but is it safe to say that we also use music as a way to convey messages to someone?
Interesting enough I found a blog dedicated to how different songs can convey different messages to someone. Some of the comments found on this blog are; Girls if you have a man who thinks that you’re always up to something and your really not, Spotlight by (Jennifer Hudson) is a perfect song to tell him the way you feel. or Guys if your girl ever cheats on you let Eamon “I don’t want you back” tell that cheating skeezer you don’t want her back. you may find suggestions on how you can use music as an alternative way to convey messages. This is a great way to tell everyone how you use music, or to suggest what songs can convey a perfect message when words are just not enough.
