When deciding what questions to ask a guy, there are some things that should be considered. You will first want to think about why you want to him him questions, are you playing a game? do you need to get some serious information from him? maybe you just want to make conversation! There are more reasons on top of these, and they will need different types of questions in order to get the results that you want.
Questions For Playing A Game
"20 questions" is a very popular game for people who want to get to know each other, or who just want to have some fun. There are endless things you can ask someone in this situation, I would suggest you first pick a theme, such as "20 questions about (choose a subject)" although don't be surprised if he chooses something sex related, that is just how his mind might work!
Here are a few example questions for a 20 questions type game; I've tried to choose questions that aren't likely to be easily found elsewhere.
- What is the funniest thing that ever happened in your life?
- What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
- What fruit are you?
Of course, there are plenty more questions that you could ask, almost unlimited in fact, so I've just shown the above three as an example to get you thinking.
Questions For Making Conversation
I think conversational questions should always start off contextual. If you are trying to start a conversation with a guy at a party, asking him a question related to the party is a great way to start, but once the conversation is initiated, by no means do you need to stay within that theme. Chances are, if you are in this situation with someone then you probably want to get to know them better, so some simple questions about their life are fine, but if you want to make them more interesting, why not try the following:
- Where do you want to be in 5 years?
- What's the worst lie you have ever told?
- If you could learn one thing, what would it be?
Questions For Getting Serious Information
This might be a slightly more difficult task to achieve, depending on who the guy is and what your connection to him is, but some general advice would be to use a little tact, but just ask outright. Guys are generally more direct than girls, so they can handle direct questions as well. By 'tact' I mean, find a good situation to use it, maybe set the question up with another question first, such as, you want to know if a guy is single, you can ask:
- What do you usually do on the weekends?
This would give you a general idea of his life, which could set up a second question about his relationship status quite nicely.
If you want to do more research for questions to ask guys, there are some good websites around that provide longer lists of questions on different themes. The Internet is a great resource for searches such as this, but it can sometimes be tiresome to find some really good questions from multiple sites, so I do enjoy finding a good website dedicated to the art of asking questions.
