Why Does My Ex Not Want To Talk To Me? - The Truth

Knowing the best way to overcome a breakup and get back together with an ex is difficult in even the best circumstances. No matter how positive of the outcome you are, this situation is made even harder when you can't seem to get your ex to answer your calls or messages. It's easy to take this as an additional blow to your self-confidence, but you shouldn't let it get to you. Not if you take the time to understand the reasons behind their actions and allow yourself to see things from their point of view.

Should you keep trying to talk to them and hope that you eventually get a response? Should you back off and give them some time alone? Maybe the answer is as simple as imagining what they're going through right now. How did you act in a previous breakup? What did you want throughout the process? Realizing that they're going through a difficult time as well can help you understand what's happening. Instead of projecting your fears on their behavior, take it as a sign. Being dumped can seriously impact your own confidence, so while your ex is taking some time on their own to deal with the situation, take some time for yourself as well. Instead of pushing the issue, don't take their lack of a response personally. Use this time wisely to examine your options and come up with a plan that will help you get them back when the time is right.

Encouraging Positive Choices:

Breakups are full of negative emotions and they often inspire exceedingly negative behavior. Don't fall for the easy option - it's usually not one that's going to work in your favor in the end. Instead, choose to view the situation differently. You may have had no control over the end of your relationship, but you can choose how you behave in its wake. Following the guidelines listed below can not only help restore your confidence and self-esteem, they can also change the way your ex currently sees you and encourage communication and reconciliation over time.

- Don't be tempted to start the chase

Even though you may be positive that you're just trying to communicate with your ex, your ex may see your attempts as something completely different. They may see it as a sign that you're unwilling to accept the fact that your relationship ended and that you're trying to pursue them to convince them of your side. Unfortunately, continuing this path will only push them away faster. It's best to back off and give them some space. Only then can they start to miss you and reevaluate their choice to end things.

- Step out of the victim role

It's easy to see yourself as the innocent victim in a breakup scenario. This leads to feelings of doubt and an overall loss of confidence in yourself and your positive attributes. While it's important to understand and accept your feelings at face-value, you also need to consider the positive side. You have a real chance of getting your relationship back, but those chances are diminished if you can't pull yourself out of the pit of despair. The longer you choose to wallow in the negative side, the longer your breakup will continue. Only after you make the decision to put the past behind you can you truly begin to move forward and take control of your own future.

- Reclaim your social life

If you're looking for the number one way to regain your ex's attention in a positive and productive way, this is it. You may think that going out and allowing yourself to be happy is counterproductive and that your ex will give up on any chance of getting back together if they think you're over them - but nothing could be further from the truth. Ironically, putting on a brave face and choosing to face the world again works in your favor. It makes your ex start to question their own decisions and can even make them start doubting the breakup entirely - just because you chose to go out and enjoy yourself instead of sitting at home alone waiting for something to change.

- Take a look at the person you used to be:

Instead of trying to change yourself to make yourself into the person you believe your ex wants, remember that they wanted YOU simply because of who you were. It's possible that some key things changed throughout the course of your relationship. The good news is that those changes don't have to be lasting. It's possible to reconnect with the parts of yourself that initially attracted your ex in the beginning stages of your relationship. By staying true to yourself and reexamining the person you were while still going for overall improvement, you're proving to your ex and to yourself that you can grow from challenging times and become a better person because of it.

Understand Their Perspective - Why They Don't Want To Speak To You Right Now

If communication is spotty at best, it's usually because of one or two reasons. Either you tried too hard and swamped your ex with messages, texts and calls or you tried to make the effort too quickly after the relationship ended. Either way, it's possible to undo the damage and start over from a positive place. If you can act now, you can remove yourself from the situation at hand and make your ex start wondering what you're up to. That can mean the difference between another chance and saying goodbye for good.

You need to know what to do and when to do it if you're going to give yourself the best possible chance to reconnect with your ex. Not only do you have to act in the right way, your timing is a key part of the process as well. Put yourself in their mind for a minute and think about what you'd do if the situations were reversed. Not only is this an easy process, it's one that can take your efforts to the next level and allow your breakup to become a thing of the past faster than you may expect.

What To Do Next

There is a lot more about contact with your ex that you have to understand. If you get this element right then getting them back will be so much easier. You also need to find out the real reasons why you were dumped, otherwise you will be forced to make the same mistakes again and your ex will never see you in a romantic light. There are some powerful get ex back techniques to familiarise yourself with if you want to stand a fighting chance of getting back together.
