Why Men Don\'t Stop And Ask For Directions

Every woman want to know why men don't stop and ask for directions, not once thinking it could be a matter of perception. Just because we drive around desperately trying to figure out how we're going to get back on the right track, doesn't mean we're lost. Okay, maybe we are lost to you but to us we aren't lost. To us, we're just losing.

For a man to stop and ask for direction mean he gave up. It mean he didn't believe he could win. No man want to feel like he can't win. To get a better understand of why men don't ask for directions first you need an understanding how men think.

We men love a challenge. While driving lost we may be down but we're not out. That's our attitude when it comes to most things and finding our way while driving lost is no different.

Men think of everything things as a sport. It doesn't matter what the sport is. Whether it's fishing, hunting or basketball, life to a man is about winning. For example, vision a basketball team your son play for and their team is down twenty in the first quarter. Would you encourage your son to give up? Would you complain and fuzz at him because he can't figure how to ignite a comeback?

What about his coach? Would you demand his coach to stop coaching and ask for help on how to coach? Of course you wouldn't. You would cheer your son on until the final buzzer and allow his coach to figure out how to win for himself. Well think of men as big kids. We're just big kids trying to figure out how to win in the "game of life."

When a woman demands that her man should stop and ask for direction she just became his opponent. His enemy. She just joined the other team. The one he's determined to defeat. The more you tell him to stop and ask for help the more he think you're trying to trick him into losing. He will soon become stubborn trying to figure out how you got on the other team. Trying to find his designation is the least of his worries.

There is only one way for a woman to get back on his team and it's by not offering suggestions. When you do this it will tell him you want him to win and you're no longer against him, you're back on his team.

Just like it's not good for a man to offer suggestions to a woman while she's sharing her feeling. A woman shouldn't offers suggestions when a man get lost while driving. Because one day he'll see you're not rooting for his opponent and he'll quietly pull in a gas station and ask for directions. It'll be music to your ears when you hear him say, "Excuse me, could you help me please...I'm lost." Copyright number IR1L-LUPS-PHOG-GKHF

Great article Vernon, and very insightful. Now I will be better prepared to give my wife the right answer (at least from a man's perspective) when she bugs me about stopping to ask for directions.

At least your husband is smart enough to print out the map before you all start your journey. Me and my wife also use the GPS on our phones they are very helpful. Thanks for the comment!

What a great perception. My husband spends alot of time printing up google maps even though we have navigation on our phones. I know the navigation isn't always correct, but trying to follow a map while driving is dangerous. I cannot read anything while a passenger so I cannot help him.
