I like Mac computers. They are very reliable and lasts for a long time. I have an apple imac desktop computer. It is my everything. What I like is, when I get a new program or software, I don't have to worry about errors and what not. The imac has enough memory and space. I operate my home recording studio with mine. Recently my computer had a very nasty accident, which causes me to buy an imac replacement screen. I haven't bought it yet, probably because apple charges a lot to replace, but I found where to order one for cheap. I'm in the process of buying one.
I know you are wondering what happened to it. Well having a 2 year old playing around your equipment is not very safe for your equipment. My daughter was unattended for a short while and she decided to pull my imac computer down from the desk it was sitting on. When she pulled it down, it hit the desk pretty hard and cracked the screen. When I heard the sound I ran in there to see what had happened, and that's when my heart dropped, but my daughter was ok so that was good.
I picked my computer up and got all the glass up from everywhere. Then I tried to see if my computer will still work. To my surprise it still worked. The only thing wrong was that I had a big piece of glass missing from one side of the screen. Everything else worked as if nothing ever happened.
Later on that day I got online searching for a screen replacement. To my surprise I found a couple that were in my price range. I bookmarked the web pages until I am ready to actually order. One thing about the imac computer is that it has two screens. The outer screen acts as a protecter to the inner screen. That's why when my computer fell, the inner screen was still safe because of the outer screen. This is the reason I'm using my computer right now.
I've owned my computer for almost 2 years now and I couldn't imagine life with out it. Like I said I operate my home studio on it so it stays pretty busy. My imac is a 2011 Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4 GB of memory. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, sometimes it gets frustrating because they are battery operated. I got tired of always buying new batteries so I bought rechargeable ones. Before I sleep at night I charge the batteries so they will be ready for the next day.
Having a Macintosh computer is great. The only flaw to it is how expensive it is to fix if something were to ever go wrong. Usually I don't like to buy replacements from outside sources of the actual brand but in this case it is much needed and makes me very happy to know that I actually CAN replace my damaged screen.
